36k miles and it slipping gears and something is burning up inside of the trans.
shop quoted around $1300 for labor + cost of trans OR to rebuild it for $4500 total.
getting a 6r80 thats got some sort of warranty just for peace of mind would be ideal but i cant find a reliable company.
anyone...
you're probably right with getting an RTD. not that it's a p.i.t.a to use a RTD but my old Cobb device for my old car was great. could just pull off any tune that was flashed whenever i wanted and move it to my pc.
nah they are a dyno shop. they have their own tools ai just want to be able to have access to my files instead of having to rely on them to load them for me everytime i want a change.
ah, i gotcha. with a cobb device you can pull any file thats on the vehicle but cobb doesnt do 5.0s so was just...
the sct gave you the option to download the factory tune when you first got it? i think i will get one of those then. you're able to store it on your pc? or you just keep it on the device? if it can pull the factory tune it can for sure pull their files then.
right, i know that. im looking for a tune device that can rip the files straight off the vehicle to the device. i dont have a device currently and the shop doesnt give one with their tunes- they just load them
im going to a shop and getting 93 tuned today and will be getting their e85 tune in the future.
is there a tune device i can buy strictly to pull the tune files after they load them? i'd like to be able to switch between stock, 93, and e85 tune files.
is an sct or revX capable of doing this?
i did ask them first, all they did was send me the link to the wire extensions.
so i figured i would see if anyone here could help as they are a fairly common header choice.
how many o2 wire sensor extensions do i need on each side?
do i need to plug either of the bungs on these headers?
these are catted texas speed headers going on a 2016 gt.

oil changed about 4000 miles ago.
did just find a random piece of what seemed like a small piece of rubber or really melted wire tape in that area, hoping that was what caused it. seemed to only happen after driving for a while. leads me to believe this could be possible.
noticed today there was some white smoke coming out of my hood while driving. pulled over to take a look at it and couldn't pinpoint any source. just a subtle white smoke around the break fluid reservoir area. it honestly really looked like it was coming from nowhere. i couldnt see smoke coming...
i heard they only work with 2018+ mustangs and mine is a 2016, not sure if you could verify that or not but would appreciate it. those handle e85 much better, right?
posted a thread earlier this week asking for help and after doing more research and help from you all, im starting to understand.
now, my only question would just be do i need to get o2 wire extensions for my headers? will the stock ones reach? have a 2016 GT and the headers are from Texas...
yea bringing it to a shop 100%. main thing i want is to pass emissions. im in illinois, just a plug in test no visual or smell. just trying to find out what i need to buy so the shop can do it all
so it's my first time getting a set of headers and chose a set of texas speed long tube headers. mid pipe connection is a roush x-pipe.
how do i make sure to not get a check engine light when putting these in? has bungs before and after the cats, what goes into them? what do i need to buy?
im...
