I personally don't think Dodge is doing anything too extraordinary/revolutionary, Ford Performance has been selling "performance packs" many of there performance vehicles for quite some time now, I believe that given mod for mod (demon crate package) vs (Ford Performance package) + comparable...
This whole discussion has made me really excited for the future of the Mustang, as I see it, the "BEAST" will be released first causing bow-tie and mopar fan boys to be :brokenheart: then just to rub it in the "BEASTS" bigger badder brother comes along to make the nay-sayers finally :hail:
I hope it means plenty good ole V8 horsepower to the rear wheels with electric motor/s assisting the front wheels (AWD) with enough torque and traction to peel your face off!!!
I will have to keep my eyes open for any future spy pics of any bench-marking with...GTRs...we have already seen ford test with a GM product as well as a Porsche...
I thought I had read somewhere that Ford may be toying with the idea of a possible hybrid option for the Mustang with the front wheels being motivated by electric motors while still being primarily powered by a conventional big HP engine with power going to the rear wheels...I may be wrong or...
My RS is rated at 350 crank and from stoplight to stoplight it rocks, anything after that I get chased down by higher HP and 2wd...Mods are planned!!! :headbang:
I think it's a great idea, Dodge is making it work with the charger and the challenger but I know, one is a two door the other is a four door...but I think Ford can make it work.
