Thanks man I actually read your comment about the kit while researching and it helped seal the deal for me. I had been on the fence shopping and chasing numbers for months upon months but it got to the point where it was time to make a decision and reading what you said about it really...
Holy shit. It's just unlimited powerband on tap, always in the sweet spot and ready to attack. No hesitancy or surging of any type whatsoever. Drives bone stock and subdued when cruising but rapidly transforms into a demonic rocket the millisecond you get on it. I'll have a more detailed...
Nice install so far and good luck with the android head unit. I just heard about the Hertz H8 dsp yesterday and I think I'm going to rock with that and the factory radio for now but when one of these companies finally nails a proper alternative, I'm all in.
Just found out about this thread, that's my baby! My apologies on the engine bay, I wanted to detail it beforehand but between selling my house and the unpredictable Michigan weather I didn't have time. I was at Livernois the next day after learning about this kit.
As much as I'm impressed and...
Scosche is definitely a good company with years upon years of expertise. Most importantly the fit and finish was quality and the hvac controls worked as good as stock. There is a reason why they aren't first to market. Good luck with your choice.
I'm tempted to install an old school Alpine...
I had the 11-14 scosche kit in my last stang and it worked well. Been waiting for this to drop, cant wait to run a real head unit. This solves so many problems. I haven't even bothered with the system yet bc of the hassle. OEM is nothing to aspire to in these cars, I couldn't care less.
Love it! When DIB is really clean, it truly is a spectacular color. Even though the maintenance is a challenge, I don't think I could have picked a better color either.
DD is a tremendous company with a great product and they also recommend vented enclosures for optimal performance. In the four mustangs I've owned, I've ran over a dozen systems. I learned that a vented box tuned for the subs dramatically improves performance in comparison to small prefab sealed...
Nice lows will be difficult in a small, sealed prefab enclosure that's not built for your particular sub but I'm sure it will be a huge improvement over stock plus like you said, it will look good. Look forward to seeing pics.
They look good but they don't have much cubic volume and for that price they should be using lightweight birch. Make sure you have the right subs for such a small enclosure.
