My car is right in the middle of the 22EO8 recall time period, but has nothing listed on the NHTSA recall site. I decided to take Tomster's advice and check at the dealer. Sure enough, there is that recall on it. I suspect NHTSA recalls are safety/emissions only. CHECK WITH YOUR DEALER.
Here's another 2 cents on this subject. My '20 GT500 (w/dct) fuzzes out the mirror images at 55 mph. Back in the day, I changed the '93 Mark VIII's diff from a 3.08 to a 3.73. The Mark has an IRS and a very long one piece driveshaft. As a result of the gear swap, the faster spinning d-shaft...
I called JPC to ask what the connection to the brake switch was for and the young guy who picked up the phone didn't have a clue. I had a JPC kit on a 13 GT and it did not have that connection. I'm looking to mod a kit to fit a 20 GT500 and am trying to sort out what it that line does and is it...
Have you actually checked the dipstick? All 12 quarts fills mine right to the full mark after you
run it to fill the filter then shut it off and drains down.
That's where I leave it with no problems.
To get a stickier tire, I used 11x19" gt350 wheels and mounted MT ET Street SS in 305/35-19 DRs.
Their height is 27.2" and when aired down, their width is very close to the to the stock 315-20.
I was going to use MT 325/30-19, but MT discontinued manufacture of them.
There was probably some dielectric grease for moisture proofing in that connector that got warm & oozed out. I had a gob of grease from the steering rack that melted and splattered down the belly pan. The ooze trail led back to the rack boot, which was ok and never leaked, so it must have been...
Wet as in water or oil? Designers chose a really bad location to dump AC condensate. It has freaked me out several times when I see a spot on the shop floor different from the last.
I got lucky and when the oil filter snafu started, I had 2 filters on the shelf. However, when changing oil the first time, I noticed the filter cover was a little cheesy. Last April, when I first decided to order an extra cover, guys had already figured out the cover was a good way to get a...
I KNOW HOW, but if you've never done it, under pressure at the track, you may not get what
I'm saying. A single toggle switch operation is a lot easier and works every time.
That's right, you have push harder than I have ever pushed on a brake pedal.
Now I know how they found out the pedal brackets were breaking on the early 2020 500s.
You end up sitting in the burnout area, jacking on the pedal to get it to engage
and everyone is wondering what the hell is wrong...
After 2 trips to the drag strip that were total failures to reliably set the line locks, I want to put on old school solenoids at each front wheel. As long as you turn off traction control before using the manual locks, then turning it back on after burnout, does anyone know of any reason they...
I added an abs skid plate to protect my sho n sto plate bracket. Made out of a 6x6x3/4" abs block. Its sort of like a super slip low and is held on by the 2 splitter bolts. It takes lots of abuse.
It sure is! I looked all over the web for you to get the details on your set-up, but your YouTube channel does not have the PM function enabled. I pieced the details together with help from the guys here. I don't go to the strip often enough to be worth installing CFTP studs or hubs. Thanks for...
THREAD UPDATE: To review a bit, due to the better selection of drag radials in 19" size I was looking for reasonably priced 19" wheels that fit. I purchased a pair of 2020 GT350 wheels (19x11") and verified what YouTuber BluByU posted. The wheel barrel clears the caliper, but the spokes hit...
