I pretty much did the same thing too. Just had a deep pan under the car and hosed the front of the engine and pan out. In terms of fluid loss, I added almost 1 jug of Motorcraft 50/50 mix when it was all said and done. You will need a tune to adjust the fans. My fans were on almost constantly...

I am considering it as a future upgrade for my PP GT, but I have not heard of any quality issues concerning this on the S550 or S197 platforms. Hopefully there is somebody out there that has done this upgrade.

Agreed. I only mention this because a tune would prevent the fan from inadvertently running. Dealt with that minor annoyance waiting for the mail order tune.

A thermostat swap out to a lower temperature will require a ECM tune. But considering the price of a tuner, tune and thermostat... it could be cheaper to do this than buy a new radiator outright. Plus, you would get better performance gains with the tune. :headbang:

Agreed. If you are going through the trouble of upgrading radiators, Mishimoto offers a better bang for the buck. You could also consider getting a 170 degree thermostat.
