Other than swapping out my JLT Catchcan from my 15 GT PP, this will be my first purchased mod for this car! Thanks for the info, my 15 was all torn up from rocks being thrown.
I just purchased my 2nd black Mustang. You would have thought that I learned my lesson the 1st time!
Curious, are you happy with the mud flaps that you have on your car?
When I saw the PP2 and the GT350 next to each other there, I began to understand how special this car is. After doing the ride along in the GT350, I new I needed to test drive the PP2. After test driving the only one in the Hamptons Roads area, I had to get it!
Please count me in as an add for the registry! I have only seen 2 of these cars in the wild, Carlisle Ford Nationals last weekend and now one in my driveway last night! Traded in my 15 GT PP for this beauty.
I am very interested to learn about other's experiences with this car!
I found this...
I am quite skeptical about the fitment of this 3" system on a convertible S550. I had a family member searching for aftermarket exhausts for his ecoboost convertible, and it was very difficult to find any products that would be compatible to fit within the convertible braces at the rear of the...
I went last year for the first time. Heading there for the second year in the row! You will expect a large crowd of like minded enthusiasts there. I was personally impressed by Ford Performance's presence there, with the true technical knowledge that is available on tap.
Additionally, the...
I pretty much did the same thing too. Just had a deep pan under the car and hosed the front of the engine and pan out. In terms of fluid loss, I added almost 1 jug of Motorcraft 50/50 mix when it was all said and done. You will need a tune to adjust the fans. My fans were on almost constantly...
I am considering it as a future upgrade for my PP GT, but I have not heard of any quality issues concerning this on the S550 or S197 platforms. Hopefully there is somebody out there that has done this upgrade.
Agreed. I only mention this because a tune would prevent the fan from inadvertently running. Dealt with that minor annoyance waiting for the mail order tune.
A thermostat swap out to a lower temperature will require a ECM tune. But considering the price of a tuner, tune and thermostat... it could be cheaper to do this than buy a new radiator outright. Plus, you would get better performance gains with the tune. :headbang:
Agreed. If you are going through the trouble of upgrading radiators, Mishimoto offers a better bang for the buck. You could also consider getting a 170 degree thermostat.
Good Morning!
Modifying your S550 from the stock steering wheel to that of the GT350 steering wheel offered by Ford Performance the is not difficult at all.
I was able that do the swap in about an hour utilizing simple hand tools. Refer to CJ Pony Parts installation of the steering wheel for...
