I got my car back from CCC today. Very pleased with the work and customer service. My car put down some pretty good numbers. I'm going to run out the crappy gas that's in the tank now and then they're going to put it back on the Dyno for some more tuning. Right now it's making 623 HP and about...
Awesome. Thanks for the info. I'm really trying to stay away from remote tunes. It's such a hassle. I tried doing the remote tune from a well know tuner and they kept sending me 93 octane tunes and when I would call or e mail them it was like they didn't remember who I was. It was just a huge...
I was under the hood today for the first time in a few months. I needed to change the oil in my Procharger, try to bleed some air from the cooling system and detail the engine compartment. I got the oil changed (which is a pain in the A** if u lose that little bottle topper. As I was cleaning...
Does anyone know of anywhere in the Southern California area that will tune a supercharged car? I've had the blower on for about a year and I'm tired of the problems associated with the tunes that Procharger keeps giving me. I'm also wanting to change to a smaller pulley, bigger injectors, bap...
So I replaced all of my worm style clamps with T bolt clamps that seems to have taken care of all of the boost leaks I had. I also fixed a vacuumed leak leading to my BOV. I installed my MGW shifter. I love the way the car shifts now. Installed a white line trans mount bushing, and replaced my...
I'm pretty sure the dealer would tell me to pack sand. My car has a Procharger set up. I solved the problem though. It turned out that the rattle was coming from the resenator. I finally had a chance to do the resenator delete and now there is no more rattle.
You could pull it down and put a block between the floor and the top of the trans back by the yoke to hold it down at a good angle. I wouldn't want to do this job on the ground. It took me about 2 hours with a lift. Getting that top bolt out and back in was the worst part. Once I decided to get...
Yes, I was actually the fat kid pulling down on the transmission while another guy pulled the bolt out of the top mounting point on the old shifter. Other than that it was a solo gig.
Ever since I installed my Procharger I've been able to here my BOV or so I thought. It always sounded like it was fluttering when I'd let off the gas while shifting. Today I removed my Facia to install T bolt claps and I noticed that the vacuum line going to the valve had been cut and was not...
There's a very noticeable increase in vibrations and noise. I'm probably going to take mine off. I just installed my MGW shifter so I don't think I need this anymore.
I just installed mine today. This install was super easy. I did mine on a lift. It would probably be do able on jack stands but it would be a pain. I really love the feel of this shifter. It looks great too. That black ball with white MGW logo really looks good.
Changed my oil today. I put Amsoil 5w-20. I've never seen red motor oil before. Lol. I also found that my vacuum line to my blow off valve had been cut and that I didn't have any vacuum to my blow off valve. That seems to have fixed the tic but a still have a rattle. It seems like it's only at...
I'm not sure the weight loss is worth it. I don't think I could live with that much aluminum and "composite" in my chassis and suspension parts. Seems a little sketchy to me.
Changing the oil in my car tomorrow. Hopefully I can figure out where the ticking noise is coming from. I really hope its not the engine or transmission.
