If you can get the full car in XPEL for about $3000 USD installed that is the by far the best price I have ever heard. The pieces alone add up to over $5,000 USD, of course that is not the price the shop is paying but it's not thousands less. Then add installation on top of this.

Thanks for all the great replies!
Drive the GT350 has an overwhelming lead of 74% WOW!
I really thought the GT350 club was going to say ship it. Was I way wrong.
A few things to note.
Since this is a one way journey... at least for now, changing the tires isn't really what I want to do.
I...
I went with XPEL ULTIMATE
Joe D. did my installation. He does all the cars for Ferrari of Long Island.
Tons of Super cars. Super great guy with very fair prices.
Tell him the guy with the Black with white striped GT350 recommended you to him. He just did my car last Sept.
His contact info is...
xpel sells 2 templates for the hood. One for the hood with stripes and one without.
They don't make a full hood. Mine was custom.
you can see that xpel has the stripes individually laid out in their template for hoods with stripes.
No stripe hood is one piece.
Again, I'm sure...
Time will tell how either method of covering the hood holds up.
With the one sheet there is a slight air gap between the stripe and the paint. Will that small gap widen over time? Who knows.
I can't see xpel peeling. Shouldn't matter if there are several peaces or just one. Edges are there no...
Sounds a lot like my previous trip last year in the GT. I hit a major snow storm in Arizona near the Grand Canyon. Snow mode did help but I had to be extra cautious. Especially with the stock PP tires. The car was sliding a lot.
Driving through Colorado is beautiful. I can totally relate...
My installer covered each stripe individually with xpel ultimate. Meaning the hood is several stripes.
Completely undetectable.
He told me if you put one sheet over the entire hood to cover the stripes it will create air pockets along the edge of the vinyl.
You need to cover the stripes...
AMTRAK has a service called the autotrain. It only runs from Washington, DC (Lorton, VA) area to Florida (Sanford, FL)
Then I have the dog. :headbonk:
There are less expensive shipping companies out there. Many are nothing more than sub contractors looking to make the most money possible...
The only reason I am driving is because my dog can't fly. Besides being a restricted breed on almost every airline(Short-nosed (brachycephalic) dog breeds), he's older and has some medical issues. He's also 30 lbs and too big to fit under an airline seat.
Real PITA but you gotta do what you...
I am relocating from NYC to Las Vegas in about 60 days. Feb 2017
Solo drive with a small dog.
I did this drive last year round trip when I owned my 2015 GT PP.
The V8 dominated the road and made the trip, when the weather cooperated, very fun.
There were some amazing roads I was able to...
There is a Black one with white strips in the garage down stairs.
Only one I've ever seen in NYC.
Oh wait that's my car... no never seen another one around these parts.
I salute you 20 something year olds who can buy a 60K car and can afford to support yourself. But you are very far from being the norm.
Besides it's really not fair to compare the financial situation of a 40+ year old vs. a 20+ year old. Especially in a enthusiast sports car forum.
Anyway...
Gen. 6 Camaro was priced too high out the gate.
The S550 was a completely new design and priced right.
Ford got a slew of new buyers who never liked Mustangs with the all new styling. They also sent the car over to Europe.
When you see an S550 you know it's a New Mustang.
While an all new...
Stangs depreciate fairly rapidly. It is what it is.
Dealers won't give anything for mods. Better off returning the car back to stock.
Also take into account MY18 is around the corner which will further drive used prices down.
Personally I would enjoy the Stang another year or two and...
We have nearly identical stats, Age, NYC, Spotless record.
Except I had a 15 GT PP
Gieco was charging me $260 per month with a $1000 deductible!
I recently traded to a new 17 GT350... Geico wanted $2160 for 6 months. That is $360 per month.
I switched to Progressive and Now pay $160...
