Bumping this old thread. I too have rust building up in the same area as the OP. After a good cleaning today I noticed some rusty water dripping on each side of the rear window gasket I carefully pulled back the gasket to reveal something very unsettling. I also noticed rust in the right side...

Considering most of us are over the hill or very near the top; how many of you are fair weather drivers any only take the Bullitt out on dry days? I have 3 cars in storage and I cannot tell you the last time I got caught in the rain or drove on a wet road. I have a daily driver pick up for that.
