I just called that shop to schedule an appointment for this coming Saturday, they guy on the phone said they will only set to manufactures specs, so that's a no-go.
That's LA, more like 7-8hrs away and If I'm going to go that far I might as well go to West End Alignment. Over the weekend I tried out the Quick Trick kit...very hard to get consistent #s with it, but managed to get all camber settings set (I think), as for toe, I ended up just using the old...
You can return your car to stock...re-flash the your ECU with your stock tune, but the FP tune is not transferable to another VIN. When you download the FP tune it registers your VIN with the FP tune file.
Yeah that was the message I got, their hands are tied by CARB, cant really blame FP. So the question becomes is another 10ish hp worth 1000 bucks? I am leaning toward no at this point.
I've been good on temps up to this point too. Really want to do this for preventative reasons, its just me, Id rather have overkill than just enough. Also just did the diff cooler, 285s all around and a few more suspension/alignment setting tweaks, also didn't run any events last summer (spring...
A little overdue, finally got some photos back from my last Thill day back in early Feb. Heading back at the end of the month with the new setup...can't wait.
I am considering upgrading from Power Pack 2 to Power Pack 3, obviously a 350 manifold and tune are needed. Here is exactly what Ford Performance had to say via Ford Performance site chat.
Please wait. An operator will be with you shortly.
One moment please...
We apologize for the delay. A...
I finally bit the bullet and did the FTB kit...why? Anything else was going to be futile, just switched to 285s and will be running Thunderhill when ambient temps are near 100 if not over this summer. I wired my pump/fan setup so that I can run it with the car off in the padoc to cool the fluid...
Well FTB Diff cooler is in, working and not leaking. Wont know how well it works till I head back to Thill at the end of the month. Watson Bar w/seat delete kit is in and solid. Chassis feels slightly stiffer, car defiantly has a more race like feel and look to it. I use to be proud of the fact...
Finished up Roll Bar installation yesterday....what a bear that was. Finished the cooler install today. Have yet to test drive it, mainly for leak checking. I did not use the thermostat, just wired a simple ign-on, on/off switch next to the steering wheel. Cooler install was not hard, just took...
went to 2 different parts stores in search of a socket...no dice...ended up cutting the tapered part, of the socket from the kit, completely off and cleaned up the edges with a dremel...worked like a champ
After reading all the paperwork last night, I have decided to go with a simple on/off switch setup. Though the thermostat setup isn't all that complicated, it still has more fail points than I like. Also don't have to go through a leaning curve on the thermostat setting. I purchased a Moroso lit...
