If you haven't notice yet there is alot of not die hard mustang guys interested in the new car with the ecoboost. There is a lot of not even Ford guys. Ford is marketing it to a younger dare i say ricey crowd here in US then the rest of the world isn't as v8 sound hungry as the rest of us...

Hmm that sounded more like a turbo 4 banger. I don't think ford is going to try to make it sound anything other than what it is. Alot of the crowd that choose the ecoboost will prefer that sound anyways.

I see the possibility of a special edition ST 2.3 i4 in the future but I don't see us getting special badging and performance when its the base model everywhere else.

You might be right on the dubbed over sound but you probably should go back and listen to a turbo 4 banger vs roots,tvs, or twin screw v8. They sound nothing alike.

That not a turbo i4 spool at all. Clearly V8 sound with what sounds of a positive displacement blower. I wonder if they are testing out Ford Racing aftermarket kit. Chevy is going to be real pissed if Ford gives out a factory supercharger option on the GT. That would mean you could go ZL1...

That might be true but Ford has gone back and forth on the anniversary date. My 89 Gt is a a 25th anniversary car. Which Ford would have taken in that 64 was first year.

Got the sound to work on my phone and sure does sound like a positive displacement blower.
