It would make sense, since they would have a car here anyway for engine fitment tests for a longer time at the FORD R&D. Like they had a very early red one of the Mustang IV back then for the 6cyl, that was also built in Cologne. The Ecoboost guru is also located in Aachen and most of the tests...

Exactly - that's what happens now:-) European journalists got the 101 (HP) story to set the mind for the 4cyl Ecoboost when they were in the US 2 weeks ago and this was the next thing announced for Dec. 5th, Barcelona for us Mustang clubs over here. "OP"
