Resurrecting this thread...my understanding you need to stay away from any detail spray with wax in it when applying over Cquartz. I know that you can use reload, but it seems to be more of a periodic boost product than a quick detailer...any suggestions?

Yes I did read over that thread, but it doesn't address the issue of the matte stripes..or if the film will give the matte finish a glossy look. Thanks for the help though:cheers:

Thanks Derand, how would you deal with the matte stripes and gloss red pinstripe on the R model? Will the film make the matte portion glossy?

Great thread! I just picked up my R and trying to figure out what to do. Deciding between Ceramic Pro or and Xpek or Suntek film, but the stripes are matte and the red pin striping is gloss. I also worry about future removal of the film and if it would lift the stripes as well. Any direction...

Forget that! I would love to hang and cruise with you more "experienced in life" gentlemen! Especially on those southern roads...
