I've noticed this too, but am curious if it's due to max engine RPM suggestions. Palm Beach Dyno had a video on this on their youtube channel. I don't remember the exact specifications but they pulled a centrifugal supercharged car to about 7000rpm and it made 13psi, pulled the same car to...
This weekends results... Didn't expect anything different, it did what it should have to so that's a win in my opinion. Left all the interior in it, ran 12.12 @ 117 in about 1000ft DA. It was a slow day at the track so I got to make eight passes. Also cut a personal best reaction time!
I will likely use these tires until they are worn out, and decide at that point. I think these tires will be fine for most N/A usage as I've seen people using them well into the 10s. I'm not in any danger of going that fast any time soon, haha. They definitely feel better than the 28" tire on a...
Probably so, I may go that route eventually, but hopefully it makes enough power before too long that I can bump up to the 305-45-17 tires and not have to worry about that haha.
Hopefully these give you a better idea. They're not the most aesthetically pleasing thing ever, but the function well. I also think since the wheel is black it helps the tire look less goofy. I'll try to get some better pictures this weekend.
Absolutely! I might go ahead and give the e brake trick a try to get a few more stall RPM out of it... who knows it might help. If I can improve the 60' at all there is a good chance it will run an 11.
Going to be giving it another go this weekend. Full interior this time. Not expecting any different results, I just enjoy going to the track and participating. Pairing up with competition is fun too. It looks like the DA will be around 850ft during the "heat" of the day which is a little better...
The lens is all one piece from side to side. It's actually a relatively easy process. Highly recommend having an interior panel trim tool set, I bought one for $8 on amazon and it was a life saver. I used this video and it walked me through step by step.
They did a little bit, about .05 on average. Before my personal best was a 1.90 60' on the 28s, it went 1.85 60' on the 26s. Yes these runs were on the stock front wheels and tires.
Well, Saturday was a good day, but no 11s unfortunately. DA started out at about 1000ft and rose to about 1500ft by the end of our race day. Car ran well and was very consistent. I had removed the passenger and rear seats and the trunk carpet in effort to reduce some weight. I also unplugged the...
I have done some searching on here and not been able to find much. I know the popular answer is boost via supercharger or a turbo, but I am curious to see how many people have given the cold juice a go? I had nitrous on my 2011 GT, Fiesta ST, and a carbureted 363 SBF engine in a fox Mustang. I...
Finally, I think someone finally realized what the point of the post was haha. Thank you. I have been on your site more than a few times. When it is time to buy stuff I will holler at you!
Has anyone installed any of these parts on a car that didn't have traction issues and notice an improvement in their short times? I guess an example would be, a car that hooks and does a 1.8x or 1.9x 60', then they install better parts and it drops the 60' .05-.1?
