I did the SW catback with H-pipe install and it took a grand total of 40 minutes. I had an extra set of hands to help hold a few things but its quite easy to do. I'd save the cash, but if it makes you feel better it shouldn't cost too much. Just don't let them charge you over an hour. I did mine...
Ya they did, it kind of bummed me out. They went through the trouble to not put the front license plate bracket on, but then installed the back too low
I want to say that this is true. I think I'd much rather him just tell me he was pulling me over to check out the car though ha. He didn't ask one question about it.
Don't have any pics, but I live 3 miles from my work and am hardly on the highway due to be so close to everything in my area. So far I've been getting around 14.5mpg with the GT PP. Basically what I was getting in my 2013 for city driving, but that had the 3.31 manual trans. The 3.73's help...
Oddly enough I was pulled over the other day because a cop decided to run my plates (though I was obeying all road laws) and for some reason no information came back. I asked why my plates were run and what prompted him to do so with no response. After some chit chat he was pretty cool about...
Same here, they got here early on Friday and carried the box to the driveway and asked a few questions about the car. Box was in perfect condition until I anxiously ripped it apart.
Negative. The box is pretty big with a bunch of stuffing to keep the metal pieces from hitting each other. If you need to bring it somewhere I suggest bribing a friend with a truck.
I would agree with you. I will have to say that videos still don't do the sound justice. My friend was kind enough to let me follow him driving my car while I was in his truck to hear the sound. I was partial to my Roush on the 2013, but the Stainless Works has me smiling every time I drive.
While both sound great from what I've heard, I like the deeper rumble of the H-pipe. I've received quite a few thumbs up while driving. Also had an encounter with my local police yesterday. No ticket, but an odd experience to say the least.
Just from the videos that SW put out, you can tell that the X-pipe is louder at certain ranges than the H-pipe. Maybe this is the cause? I'm not sure. I'll keep testing and checking to see, but so far nothing suggests to me that mine has the drone that others speak of. I've tried multiple times...
That's correct, I have the H Pipe catback. I have not noticed any unbearable noise coming from the car at all. Today was the first time I've taken her on the highway coming into work. I was in 6th gear and went between 65-75mph. I only noticed noise accelerating between these and when the car...
If you are cruising it doesn't sound loud at all. Even romping on it, it just sounds good. My buddy and I were talking today how we like that it wasn't just a lot of noise. In his words, it's "clean loud". Good tones and just loud enough.
Is it sad that after 4 weeks of owning the car and being satisfied that Ford finally got the wheel gap right with the stock springs that I already want to drop the car about 1.5" all around. I am loving the car but keep finding things I want to enhance. It's only money right?
