I really want to replace my 'vacuum' gauge in my GT PP to a vacuum/boost gauge that is the same one on the Ecoboost. Does anybody have a link to a p/n, price, and instructions to add the Ecoboost gauge to the GT PP instead of the vacuum gauge?
The instructions said this about the belt maintenance:
The serpentine belt, which turns your ProCharger supercharger, will stretch after initial run-in, and should be re-tightened after the first hundred miles.
As far as the 5 psi boost, I did not see anything in the instructions telling you...
Yea, price vs. performance (with some warranty hope) sells it for me. There were a few 'cut this pipe' instructions, so I'm hoping removing it in the case of the need for powertrain/engine warranty coverage can be done easily. With no hope of warranty coverage, then I hope the install is...
Just read the 155 step instructions for install for the Procharger HO. Still not convinced it is a 5-hour install since 5 minutes x 155 steps = 13 hours. Some steps will take longer than others, but for every 'remove this', you generally have to do the same work to put it back. Does...
Like I said above, up to 142 is ok in 5th. 145+ needs you to be in 6th with 3.73 gears and you have no acceleration in 6th (without a SC). See speed vs. RPM here (use the front tire chart as it seems to be more accurate than the rear tire one for some reason)...
From what I've heard, getting up to 142 is fairly quick because you can use 5th. However, when you want 145+ and have to go into 6th on the GT with performance pack, it takes forever to add a few MPH.
Totally unlikely scenario:
If you happen to be next to a V8 Mercedes out in the middle of...
Looks like the procharger rep is taking a break from the forums or they have some issue that is preventing them from responding. Did anybody on these forums get a procharger HO installed on their '15 GT and can post some numbers like 1/4 mile, 0-60, HP/Torque vs RPM? Just seems odd that the...
That sucks! Wonder if there is some quality issue or they didn't add enough grease to the couplings/gears? I would think the drive shaft would be one of the most important (well built) parts of the car - guess not.
If you are a person who needs speed often, buy the V8. If speed is not your thing, then buy the V4/V6.
I like speed, so I needed the GT with PP and manual. Even though the V8 costs more, the resale value is higher and the time you drive it will be more fun. I drove a V6 for a very long time...
On a single-lane small traffic circle by my house, the rules are whoever gets there first has the right-of-way. So if somebody is in the circle and heading towards you, you need to wait until they pass before going onto the circle. If you can beat somebody else to get into the circle first...
I almost got killed in a roundabout in UK. In USA, I always look to the left when I approach a traffic circle. I forgot to look to the right once and just looked in time to miss getting hit by a double-decker bus! I quickly learned to look both ways at every intersection there after that...
Hmmm, something very strange about the driveshaft breaking at 135 MPH, even on a V6. I would think the non-Z rated tires would be the first to go. It seemed strange that there was no vibration of the driveshaft as he approached that speed as it became out of alignment before snapping. Hoping...
Distracted drivers are the worst. I had some young girl crash her Honda into my garbage can in front of my house while she was texting on her phone. She almost hit the phone pole, but she got lucky. If my car was parked there, or I was driving next to her, same outcome ... distracted and...
Down to 10.6 MPG (was as high as 10.7) including a mix of highway and city driving over 1200 miles in my GT PP on 93 octane. I do tend to accelerate faster than others :)
I find myself shifting at over 4000 RPM quite often. My average fuel economy is 10.6 MPG and that's an average including highway driving for around 1200 miles now.
Accelerating fast does not mean driving unsafely. The unsafe part comes when you pass somebody at more than 10 MPH faster than...
Note that the factory tires that come on my GT PP are Pirelli P Zero 275/40ZR19 101Y and are rated at speeds up to 186 MPH. If you buy tires that are rated at 101(Y), then your tires can go over 186 MPH. Note the 101 means the weight handling of the tire, so don't buy tires that are less than...
99% of the time, you don't have anybody else next to you that you know the exact specs/mods on their car who also agrees to race you. Without that knowledge, if they were faster by a car length at 60 MPH, maybe they had a faster car or perhaps you did not shift properly. What if you beat them...
I thought you would understand. And yes, I bought this car for the best 0-60 time. Some people buy their cars for the looks of them, some people for the performance. It's just a matter of preference. I would think some people reading this 0-60 thread might have also bought their car hoping...
