Did he give you some dyno numbers for your power and torque? Ask him about an air filter and a throttle body also since I heard they make an improvement.
I have a Roush phase 1 SC (670 HP) and with the stock wheels/tires, I spin all through first gear and from 4000 - 5500 RPM in second gear in warm dry weather. I updated my wheels to MPSS 325 wide in the rear. Now, I spin in most of first gear and do not spin in second (except for possibly a...
I purchased a brand new 2017 GT less than a month ago. I already changed out the wheels to new ones. I barely put any miles on my original performance pack Pirelli wheels/tires that I am offering for sale. I live in Davie, FL, so local pickup is the way to go. The color of them is "J7" or...
I had my new GT7 wheels installed yesterday. I actually found the wheels did 'not' need a spacer for the basic clearance after the lug nuts were tightened. However, the wheel shop that did the work told me if I didn't put some spacers, when in a high G-force turn, the top of the wheel might...
I just received my GT7 19x10 for front and GT7 19x11.5 for the rear. I tried to mount the wheels yesterday on my new supercharged car I bought about 2 weeks ago. The cost was $80 to transfer TPMS from my PP wheels and $140 to mount/balance the tires. When they put the wheels on the car to get...
I'd like to thank all of the people who offered suggestions on how to handle this experience. I value your opinions and good links to supportive information.
Although I want to enjoy my sporty car to the fullest, I certainly didn't want to go through months of down-time waiting for my car to...
Although it appears the story of my broken clutch appears to be over since the service shop and Ford customer service both said I'm out of luck .... I got a call today from somebody from Ford saying it will be handled by Thursday.
Not 100% sure what is going to happen, but I am sure it's better...
Even without any mods, if your clutch is physically broken, Ford does not want to warranty it. However, they are supposed to warranty clutches outside of 'normal wear and tear'. When the clutch fails outside of normal wear and tear, they still don't want to warranty it.
If the clutch breaks, they don't want to cover it. There is no way a broken clutch in pieces is normal wear and tear. How much are they trying to rob from you for the repair? I wonder how many GT MT-82 owners have had some cheap Chinese defective clutch material break and warranty denied...
Thanks again everybody for your advice. The Ford service shop called me today and told me they put my car back together including the parts they made me buy (to even diagnose the issue) and asked me when I am going to go there to pay for the repair.
I never authorized them to re-assemble the...
This is the last time my car ever goes to them for service. Also, I 'have' to deal with them because they have my car and my money. They were just the closest repair shop when my car broke to tow to. I just called Ford customer service and tried to talk with my 'zone rep', but she didn't...
A 'brand new transmission' was installed somewhat recently. Note 'broken' stuff is caused by a mechanical failure and not 'normal wear and tear'. Time to call Ford customer care again...
I spoke with the service shop today. I was told it was a clutch failure and I had to pay out of pocket for it. He emailed me these pictures of the failure:
He said the service manager took the pictures himself and the clutch has no warranty. He said he needs to use that bay for...
Thanks all for your assistance. I sent my VIN and Case number to the forum member FordService. I called the Ford service shop on Wednesday, but the parts were not yet in. I called Thursday and they said the parts were in, but no work had yet been done. I called again this Friday afternoon...
