Where did you get those weights? I picked up both hoods while changing them out and the Trufiber hood was noticeably lighter. Maybe its heavier with packaging weight, but not on its own.

Could be, but this car is not daily'd, so it will be many years from now before those rear pads need to be changed. The rear pads just might outlast the paint.
