Anyone else here experiencing knock? I had AED tune my car but even with the stock tune I was seeing knock and I ruled out exhaust rattles. Is the gas here just piss poor?

Yep. Could have been much worse.

Took my car to the exhaust shop yesterday to check for rattles potentially causing false knock and the guy backed my car into a truck. :(

Loaded an AED tune. About to bring car to the shop and check out the exhaust. Still seeing knock.

I drove a 4 cylinder accord before this and transitioned easily. The car is much more powerful but its not some 1000hp beast. You should be fine.

I am stock (only have a catback). This is for his baseline before he sends me a tune.

I currently have about 1 degree of knock and Shaun at AED is trying to help me find the cause. Gonna put it on the lift in a couple weeks and check out the exhaust first. I guess the knock sensors will detect if an exhaust bolt is hitting the chassis which could trigger it amongst other things.

Makes pretty much 0 difference at stock power levels.

For real. Im kinda pissed after reading this thread. Was looking forward to getting headers, but they will be a complete waste of money in 4 yrs once emissions comes around.

Interesting. After my first oil change I had the tick tick tick at idle too. I was about to bring it in, but after 2 days it disappeared and I havnt heard it since.

Yea I got ahold of him a few months ago and he said he was dyno tuning, but not remote yet.

Any idea on when AED will offer tunes? Im ready for headers and a tune, but just waiting on AED..

Just got my first oil change at 1500. They advised against me using the 5w-30, but from what I read the 20 is mainly for fuel economy. Also they said it only takes 7.6 quarts. I double checked the manual and they are correct. I thought I read 8 earlier but I suppose was wrong.

I had to order some vice grip needle nose off of amazon. I tried doing it with just normal needle nose and that wasnt happening. Ha I cant wait to have this damn spring removed. I hate the way it feels stock.

Got tint on Friday. Been busy with work, but I hope to drive it more next weekend.
