  1. Unstable corner transitioning

If it isn't a bother can you explain/summarize to me how spring rates might affect handling dynamics in layman's terms, I'm curious how you came to the idea that my car is front biased and what does this mean.
  2. Unstable corner transitioning

That's very informative thanks, I always thought the lower the COG the better, but I always thought it can't be that simple. I guess Ill get my car back up to highest settings recommended by KW, i'll install the rear cradle lockout, but now I am wondering if the front sway bar is unnecessary and...
  3. Unstable corner transitioning

290 lb/ inch in the front avg as it is progressive 788 lb/ inch in the rear St out of the box is set to 1.2 front and .8 rear, roush who buys their coilovers from KW and St recommend 1.5 and 1.0 rear. Also does which front control arm bearings do you have?
  4. Unstable corner transitioning

Understeer and slow weight transfer into corners. I will be trying more Psi in front than rear, but my coilovers that are KW v1 or roush equivalents (ST suspension which is the best bang for your buck coilovers under 1200!) recommend 1.5 inch drop front and 1 inch rear which is the same out of...
  5. Unstable corner transitioning

Steering seems to hang for a second as mentioned by the previous post and doesn't like quick weight transfers. When you say stiffer sway bar, you mean just the front bar right (i have the non pp rear sway bar)? Although, I always thought tighter sway bars in the front tunes the car to favor...
  6. Unstable corner transitioning

St coilover shocks and struts with their respective springs, It does hang for a split second, but I wouldn't say it's biased towards left turns over right turns or vice versa.
  7. Unstable corner transitioning

I wanted to learn in the canyons as I've talked to many people who seem to begin with canyon and transition to auto X or track. I think everyone enjoys canyons before going further. I'd love to do autocross, but as a young full time student applying to med school this cycle money is tight due to...
  8. Unstable corner transitioning

It's not a twitch, it is a delayed response that feels like understeer because I won't get the load quick enough to the correct side.
  9. Unstable corner transitioning

I think load transfer is what I'm looking to say, is there anyway I can make that delay shorter. Speaking of light cars I drove a fully built miata and Mr2 for track (first time driving small light cars), now that's what I want it to mimic (probably wouldn't). More so to explain this twitch if...
  10. Unstable corner transitioning

Was factory spec set to .12, if so I expect it to be set there as my first alignment I know for sure the camber was what I said and the toe was factory spec. I shouldn't have thrown away the sheet........
  11. Unstable corner transitioning

All road courses are closed, the non pp front brakes won't last me long due to the inverted venting style, and its an empty canyon at 6am sunrise with no cars or cyclists for miles. More so, on this canyon there are far more aggressive drivers than me when I do see them.
  12. Unstable corner transitioning

Camber:-1.8 front, -1.5 rear, Toe: I believe was 0 in the front, and 0 or .05 in the rear
  13. Unstable corner transitioning

No in both scenarios it behaves the same, I already got it corner balanced. It has a hard time wanting to change direction under slight load or after I exit a corner and enter another corner. I could draw a picture if that would help make it easier to convey in words, I find it hard to...
  14. Unstable corner transitioning

So a little mod list, 19x10 285 squared, ST coilovers (kw v1 equivalent), strut tower brace, and non pp package. I started canyon running my car a lot more (2x a week), taking it slow, learning the car, most importantly learning to properly drive, and my car is handling good, but now I have a...
  15. Tick solution: liquimoly MoS2 and nanosave n1 (bottle form)

We all know liquimoly ceratec works wonders for the tic, but I just put in one bottle of liquimoly MoS2 and it shut the tic right up but I was suppose to put it 2 as instructed in the directions. I just wanted to ask if anyone else has been using MoS2 instead of liquimoly Ceratec as it is...
  16. PBD vs Lund for shifting preference 10r80/A10

the south park reference was enough to get me on board with what you said, thanks!
  17. PBD vs Lund for shifting preference 10r80/A10

I do, still not aggressive or quick enough for me.
  18. PBD vs Lund for shifting preference 10r80/A10

I'm mainly looking for better downshifts, and I really enjoy a quick shifting transmission (but can't a afford a car with a DCT), this will mainly be for autocross and spirited canyon driving. Which ever tune gives me the most kick or fastest shift, that's the one i want. I could barely hear the...
  19. PBD vs Lund for shifting preference 10r80/A10

So i'm picking between lund vs PBD for my 18 auto 10 speed. Mainly i'm looking for better shifting as in downshifts, upshifts, etc. I want something that feels like a zf8, I think the best way to describe it is "crisp" shifting. Can anyone chime in on this?
  20. Slow A10/10R80 fix via tuning?

My a10 18 mustang gt has shifts that to me feel slow compared to my friends ZF8 speed, I want to have crisp and quick downshifts as well and improve the upshifts. Which tuning company has any solutions or at least improves it the most?
