The problem with the base cars is that when just looking at the bumper itself it looks fine, but when viewed holistically, you lose the continuity between the front splitter, side rockers and rear valence. The designers intended for these parts to tie together - the black splitter flows into the...
I hope I'm wrong but at some point I looked up the parts diagram for the dash and it sure looked like the eyebrows were part of the actual dash panel, meaning the dealer would have to remove the entire dash assembly to replace it. Every. Single. Thing. That scares the living hell out of me...
I was hoping ProClip would release one that was mounted lower on the console. As it is, the air vent mount solution is less than ideal for me.
Breaking news, people have no taste. OtterBox cases are awful. If anyone seriously needs a case like that, they need to learn how to hold an $800...
I went with the Steeda version primarily because the design allows for easily removing the oil dipstick... I can just pull it straight up through the gaps between the bars without it touching anything. The Ford Racing (OEM) version is not as well thought out.
I guess it depends on how serious the bugs are... I've bought sponges like these in the past and to try to take love bugs off with it - you might as well just be lightly caressing your bumper with a feather. Into the trash it went. We need serious stuff down here, and the sponge I linked works...
Living in Florida with our love bug problem I am all too familiar with this. I swear by this sponge I got on AutoGeek:
http://www.autogeek.net/best-bug-sponge.html
It doesn't scratch the paint and takes the bugs off no problem. When the bugs are heavy I usually try to soak the bumper in...
Oh yeah, you can definitely tell from that pic that he took the utmost care as he was parking his land yacht. Rear right tire almost touching the line... wheels cocked almost full right lock... yeah. A real Ken Block this one. :D
It was far from the worst parking job I've seen but it was the...
I didn't take a picture of it but the day after I got my car I stopped by Harbor Freight to pick up some sockets... did the same thing, relatively empty parking lot, parked pretty far away... and on my way out, same damn thing except this guy was such a winner I think he pulled in the wrong way...
Dropped by the local FedEx place to pick up a package at 10:30 AM on a weekday. No one except 2 cars in the parking lot on the edge (guessing employee cars). I'm at the counter talking to the guy and the door chime rings, guy walks in. As I'm walking out, I see this. ENTIRE PARKING LOT EMPTY and...
True, but to be fair, they don't make the 8 speed, ZF does. Look across the BMW lineup - every 2/3/4/5/6/7 series (including the X vehicles but not the M cars) uses the ZF8 and it is establishing a great track record. The software may be different with the Dodge version but the tranny hardware...
Installed the new Steeda Strut Tower Brace that supports cars with the factory 20" option. Super easy installation.
Best part is that the Steeda version allows easy access to the oil dipstick!
I would pay good money for extended versions of these videos. I want the cutting room floor stuff! I keep pausing like every 3 seconds looking at details... it's amazing how much is different in the production cars.
Good point, I was reading the X-Plan details and it looks like you're right, the phrasing does seem to indicate participation is at an overall dealer level, not just for whenever and whomever they feel like honoring the plan. The car buying experience is just terrible because of crap like this...
Yeah, this is a joke. Automakers knowing the technology better than anyone else? Oh, is that why when I had my last BMW I had to leave the car with them for 3 days to apply a simple software update? And then when I get the car back my sport displays are reading in newton-meters instead of...
Sorry man, but in one of your earlier posts you were explaining that your dealer didn't submit your order as x-plan because that's just the way they do things, I tried to explain to you that wasn't normal. Clearly they did it because they intended to screw you. You have to use your due diligence...
I'm auto 3.55 as well... mostly short city driving and I am not easy on this thing. I'm getting around 200-220. But I didn't buy it for the emm-pee-geez... :headbang:
When my Pirellis run their course I plan on replacing them with PSSs. I've had the Hankook Ventus V12 Evos on my last two cars but I just don't like the feel. Time to spend a bit more and get a better tire.
I applied 845 for the heck of it and it went on & buffed off pretty easy and looked decent. After a week or so I'm noticing a pretty significant haze on the paint that comes off with my finger. Not sure if this is a result of using Optimum No Rinse with Carnauba on top of it, or if it's some...
