Hey all,
I was wondering what folks see for 'normal' tire life for their Michelin Pilot Sport 4S summer tires.
Since I drive year round here in Michigan, I invested in a winter wheel/tire package, so my summer tire life may seem abnormal.
I bought the car new in Sep 2020, and it now...
Nice work and write up. Do you have additional pictures of the power wiring to the rear? I see the new power lead coming off the battery, presumably from a Crutchfield amp wiring kit?
Daily driver. I've been waiting a long time to be in the right family/financial situation where a Mustang finally fit into my life. Immediately after I bought it, I purchased snow tires/wheels, so I drive it year around, take it on long trips, etc.
During the pandemic, when we started working...

Also, I agree with many of you about the article: more amusing than useful, especially when the author claims that a naturally aspirated motor that makes 91 bhp/L is "not that good".
I'm not knocking the OP, mind you...
"Just installed four Shelby CS5. These replaced the PP1 wheels. I also went with 275/40R19 on all four instead of a staggered setup. "
So, for the wheels, also square, like the tires? Or different wheels front/rear? I'm guessing square wheels, just want to be sure.
@Bikeman315 , thanks, I found those long ago. Those are technically totes, which don't seal the tires like bags do, although the felts help a little. Tirerack actually makes the distinction in their article I quoted. They are cool, though, and will probably be my last resort if I can't find...
For those of you actually storing tires in tire storage bags(not totes) according to articles like this: Proper Storage Techniques for Your Tires and Wheels
First of all, welcome to my selective OCD world. Second, what do you use for such bags? Lawn and garden bags just aren't big enough for my...
@beetle6986 there is a difference of 5mm in offset between the front factory wheels and mine/yours, so probably 5mm would be perfect. But they are not as "too tucked in" as I feared, so I'm gonna leave them be.
In my original picture, my front wheels are turned a bit. Here's a straight on shot...
Shortly after taking delivery of my new Mustang, the colors started to change here in Michigan. Some of the sugar maple trees up here can really 'glow' with color, so I went looking for one that almost exactly matched the Twister Orange on my car. I think I got pretty close with this one:
Hello all,
Time was right to finally own a Mustang. Aside from the info in the signature, also ordered active exhaust and 301A. Best compliment I received so far was my retired neighbor, who screamed at me from two houses down "HEY MAN, THAT THING IS BADASS!"
PS: My user name is my handle...
Hi y'all,
First post in the forum: living in Michigan, it was time to install my winter tire/wheel package. I decided to go with a setup recommended by Tire Rack, and I'm pleased with the fit. Here are the pics and specs:
