Not to hijack this thread (sorry OP) but I am also taking a hard look at these springs for my non PP 2018. Would new shocks and struts would pay dividends with these BMR springs for a guy who primarily drives on the street with the occasional trip to the drag strip?

There is no good answer to this question. A better question would be when can your wallet support a tune should things go south and cause internal parts to exit stage right. That answer for me, within the first year of ownership. Happy modding.

To keep it brief, I am in the market for a new A10 car which will likely see mainly daily and drag racing duties with the occasional local autocross event. Is the level 1 performance pack worth it or would just the 3.55 rear gear upgrade suffice? Input from guys who do both would be appreciated...

My opinion is damage to cylinder bore wall rather than carbon buildup. No crosshatch visible behind that streaking = no bueno.

I still wouldn't feel comfortable with Ford saying "well the compression test came back fine so nothing to see here move along." Something has created that scuffing on cylinder bore wall, presumably into the coating that Ford is using now rather than the liners. Whatever caused that damage is...
