The reviews speak volumes to how different the 350 is vs the R. The wheels/tires, weight reduction, suspension tweak and the increased downforce makes a big enough difference to be noticed immediately by reviewers. Would an everyday driver ever notice.... who knows? Either way, I would not...
I agree. It would be worse if they didn't have the regular GT350. Simple math shows an average of 11 R's in each state for 2015/2016. Throw in a unconfirmed 2017 and that is still only 21 per state. ADMs will drop on the R's, but time will tell if they go away entirely. Congrats to all the MSRP...
Best I could find this late in the game is $20k, and they only offered that to me because I am a commercial customer of theirs. Otherwise they had a second buyer lined up at $50k ADM. Insane. Needless to say, I took the offer :hail: (was trying to negotiate $10k but failed).
As...
Hard to tell from the different pictures, but what is the actual finish color of the GT350R CF wheels? Some pictures, they look like a high-gloss black color. Other shots look like they have a carbon fiber-ish flat looking color. Trying to debate whether or not to change my color...
UPDATE - 12/11/2015
Finally got the dealership to agree to sell me their 350R allocation. I had to cave at a $20K ADM (they were offered $50k ADM by a stranger). Deposit paid and order has been placed, just waiting for it to get released by Ford. Probably looking at early next year...
If you wait till Spring/Summer, you may miss out on being able to buy one entirely (especially the R's). If you find an R as MSRP right now, you have found a jewel. Snatch it up.
Ran into a group of you headed south from Atlanta while on my way back from the SEC game. I was wondering where the caravan of Mustangs was headed. I slowed down long enough to admire the pretty views. Gratz on a good showing.
Ps. I was thinking about stopping at Summit Racing but figured...
I disagree. If I am provided a quote and I act on it(make deposit, payment, signing, etc) that becomes a legally binding contract under the terms of the qoute(if any) and state statue. I deal with this a lot in the construction industry. I've had to "persuade" a sub or two to do the job even...
I agree. I'd call an attorney. Once they know you are serious, they will probably cave. Just think about their attorney bills. It will negate any ADM they would have made as well as possibly lose (if it goes to court). But consult an attorney.
Congrats. I'm trying to work a similar deal. Personal relationship but when some guy offers $50k ADM, it puts a wrinkle in the deal. Crazy California people!
Interesting paragraph in the Edmunds review: "The weight reduction is thanks in large part to the R's 19-inch carbon-fiber wheels, which shave between 50 and 60 pounds — enough to merit a full recalibration of the antilock brake and stability control systems, according to Adam Wirth, chassis...
Saw posts about the GT350 brochure but couldn't find where anyone posted a download for it. Couldn't get it to upload as an attachment but you can click the link below to download it. Enjoy.
GT350 Brochure
Stopped at a local Ford dealership to see if they had an 'R' for sale. They only received allocation for a single GT350. They have 5 on a wait list and are looking for roughly $15k-$20k ADM:crazy:. They were given the green light to place the order next week.
