Just heard that there are issues with door alignment on the production of the Mustang right now. This is expected as its the initial run and I don't know if I should be feeding the fire with this info. I do think it is important and relevant for you all to know though. It's also important to...
I hate to be so blunt but it seems to me like a lot of people are coming into this thread to complain without reading the thread. Ordered retail units will not be released until Ford is confident that the car won't have any problems for highly picky customers (I.E. the people who aren't reading...
This is spot on. Just because you like something doesn't mean that everyone else does. People also have must haves also. I showed a fusion today to a customer that was exactly what they wanted less a moonroof so now I'm dealer trading for a car I already have except it has a moonroof. Why settle...
So what about the Ford GT? it was immediatley worth more than MSRP? Also I never said it would maintain its full value and would never depreciate at all. If you look at Mustangs over the years in good condition they actually hold their value very well and often come back up to close to what they...
Most dealerships won't get one let alone two there are over 3200 dealers in the United States and you can bet that a few of the big wigs over at Ford Motor will be taking some home as well. If you got a 50th LE at MSRP consider yourself to be stealing that vehicle and very lucky to know a dealer...
That's awesome they let those vehicles go at sticker. I do not know if I agree with vehicles being sold above sticker but I do agree with the fact that a limited supply and high demand will often bring on a higher cost. I have seen dealers though holding cars above sticker price even when no one...
3500 dollars in rebate on Mustangs plus more savings if you have A/Z plan or can procure an X plan. Only issue would be being able to find exactly what you want in Dearborn our stock is dwindling although I must say we never were considered a "big" Mustang store. I know there is a dealer in NC...
You should be able to change your order all the way up until its scheduled build date. Allocation for the LE is very limited we auctioned the oppurtunity to order one to the public. We also had allocation which we offered up to some of our most loyal customers and high profile customers these...
I could be wrong and maybe we don't see eye to eye on the situation but I believe that the entire marketing campaign on the Ford Mustang has been a hype train from the initial showing at the NAIAS to the release of information on the Mustangs 50th Anniversary (Good Morning America Empire State...
So I read this thread and then I went to a car show this weekend. I for the most part agree with what is being said if you don't have the car then putting random badges or cloning other cars with badging is wrong. Then I came across a rare pretty awesome vehicle in Dearborn Michigan at the Ford...
I think some of this Dealer is gospel stuff is coming from dealers who may not be fully realizing what the internet has brought to us. In Dearborn our primary business is Ford employees we can not getting away with flat lying to a customer. If we do not know information about a product or...
The only thing Ford can do is meet their own goals they can't anticipate what every customer will want they gather research and start builiding this car way before anyone knows that it even exists. By the time we all started speculating and hoping and wanting Ford already had made and possibly...
This is exactly correct most dealers also knew this at least we did. We told customers, giving them a choice take a risk and have your car first or have a custom ordered car with your name on it. Ford needs to get through the initial run and works out the kinks.
I do realize this. From my understanding they need five build cycles to go without a hitch before the car can be released for sale. any car that is built before the five perfect cycles will need to be "repaired" one by one by mechanics and engineers at the plant.
Looked at Ford custom order tracking today looks like my vehicle is currently "in production" it was scheduled for the week of 7.28.14 I don't know if this means they are ahead of schedule or what. Very happy to see that regardless.
