Well, judging by these last few comments, I think it's good that I'll be keeping the car. I've always wanted to build a crazy fast car - my fastest previous was either 03 cobra making 501rwhp or 08 c6 making 426rwhp - they were very fun cars, but I sold the 03 for top dollar (found the right...
ugh - I'm so on the fence...but I think mostly because I know that if I go forward with doing the rest of the mods, I really do need to keep the car for awhile
Then again, hopefully I'll be so thrilled with the car, I wouldnt think of selling it!
I'll start this by saying I'm 90% sure that I'm going to keep the car anyway, but, for several key reasons, it may make more sense to sell the car now. It only has 1300 miles on it since I bought it new in January. I've put about $5,000 in bolt ons into it already, and I have the Procharger kit...
Part of me also regrets getting an auto - I drove my brother's modded 2011 WRX yesterday and even though it's wayyyyy slower, it was arguably more fun to drive, lol.
However, my goal was to build a 10 second, streetable car, and I think the auto still fits that bill better than a manual.
None of my neighbors have said anything negative, but I usually don't take the car out of the garage between 9pm - 10am, anyway. I also try to keep speeds under 30mph through the neighborhood.
Figure out generally what car you want -
find out which local dealers have it in stock
email all of them saying whomever offers the best price is getting your business. You will receive a few back with low offers. Then start from that number and go down as much as possible
