  1. Installed Anderson Carbon Fiber Fenders and Hood on our CFTP GT500

Thanks - that is good stuff. I knew there were battery options out there but I didn't realize this much weight reduction could be had. That's a good area of the car to reduce weight also. This will jump a few things on the to-do list. Speaking of to-do lists...yes indeed, CF doors are in the...
  2. Installed Anderson Carbon Fiber Fenders and Hood on our CFTP GT500

Overall it is about 30 pounds reduced from the nose of the car. The factory hood felt MUCH heavier than I was expecting (I don't have exact weights).
  3. Installed Anderson Carbon Fiber Fenders and Hood on our CFTP GT500

Here are some photos of the finished (for now) product:
  4. Installed Anderson Carbon Fiber Fenders and Hood on our CFTP GT500

Hi all, this post is to share some carbon fiber additions my wife and I did on our Magnetic 2020 CFTP GT500. In the fall of last year, we ordered the Anderson Composite carbon fiber hood, along with their fenders, which arrived at our doorstep around the end of January. Over the past several...
  5. Bryce Fastener Security Screws for CFTP wing group buy

Thanks for organizing this. I've been meaning to get some security fasteners on my wing for quite a while now but kept putting it off. I put my order in today at the shopify link and am also going to implement the cone washers recommended by @AngelDeath . Cheers
  6. Honey Badger's Completely Off-the-Rails Race Car Build and Track Adventure Thread

Every time I come back to visit this thread I get more inspired to take on a project like this. I'll say it again....this is the most savage GT350 project out there in the best way lol. Well done, I hope to see this beast in person one day when it makes it to COTA
  7. Hard Parking: A Mach 1 Picture Only Thread.

My wife and I drove up to Asheville, NC for a week before doing one of the Mach 1 Track Attacks in Summer 2021. While we were in Asheville, we toured the Biltmore Estate. During our tour, a massive thunderstorm spawned by tropical storm Fred rolled through the area, and nearly cleared out the...
  8. Question for those running G-Loc Pads

It is 100% normal for all the noise even with no input. I run R12 front, R10 rears. Sometimes I get lazy and don't change back to street pads after track days...when I don't, the neighbors hate me as it gets every dog in the neighborhood stirred up and barking anytime I drive by lol
  9. Guess it's my lucky year with ford

Good grief that green with the white stripes looks amazing on the 500. Enjoy!
  10. Unfortunate Tuesday with my Mach 1 - engine oil mess (not as bad as BP)

I believe the GT350s and GT500s run very similar setups. Not sure about the PP2.
  11. Unfortunate Tuesday with my Mach 1 - engine oil mess (not as bad as BP)

Here is what my M1's factory oil cooler setup looks like: *edit* - I'm sure most know, but to be clear the hoses and brackets are not normally exposed to the open as shown here. The underbelly pan/splitter assembly completely covers this area and I had it off earlier this summer to address a...
  12. Sad, possible loss….

Did any airbags deploy? What kind of impact speed was there? From the limited, photos this seems to be repairable without a salvage title hit, but it wont be cheap with labor being the primary cost driver and wait time being the annoyance factor. My father's F150 took a hit just like this a few...
  13. Mach1 options for 2-piece Front Rotors, who’s makes best one?

The girodisc rotors are great. And yes, the weight reduction makes a noticeable difference on track. More responsive turn-in. A bit pricy but worth it and necessary for my purposes.
  14. Honey Badger's Completely Off-the-Rails Race Car Build and Track Adventure Thread

Time for a J-swap?! I have a J-swap in a former spec na miata and it is an absolute riot.
  15. Installed a 4 point Watson cage this week in the M1

I don't think I've ever seen one of these in a convertible...it looks great!!
  16. Rear Seat Delete Take Rates

My Mach 1 did not originally have the RSD option, but I installed one to accomodate a roll cage and harness system for track time. If I would have optioned the car, it would have had the RSD from the factory.
  17. Honey Badger's Completely Off-the-Rails Race Car Build and Track Adventure Thread

Not sure how I missed it. This is officially the most savage build I've come across to date. Awesome. This car is going to be one hell of a track bitch when finished. Sub'd
  18. best clutch replacement?

Try the Exedy Mach 500 with OEM flywheel. I should have gone with this when the original clutch went out April 2021 on the 2016 GT. I replaced it with OEM friction disc and pressure plate. The OEM friction disc grenaded on me while on track a few weeks ago. After some research, it appears the...
  19. New LMR M1HP and GT500 wheels

I am very happy with the Continentals. In my opinion, they are an excellent "lapping" tire for the S197 and S550. The tire is purposed to be an endurance tire, which means you are not going to set any lap records and will probably be about 1 second slower when fresh, and probably 3 seconds...
  20. anyone regret getting a X-Pipe

I put the borla switchfire on my Mach 1 and no regrets. Its a funky take on an x-pipe. Quiet mode is still very quiet for neighborhood relations. All exhaust modes increased a step in volume (normal is now stock sport mode, sport mode is now stock track mode, track mode is now 20 gt500 sport...
