Gotta say. (This probably isn't the forum for it),the most annoying thing was all the rust prevention black tar they spray under the car. It looks terrible, smells terrible and overspray gets on the wheels.

I went with CQuartz UK. Found it very easy to use. Key I found is to be patient and thorough with the paint prep. Used scholl s20 as a gloss enhancement prior to coating.

Waited 13 months for this beauty. Then got it home and spent 3 days preparing the paintwork and ceramic coating. Takes a lot of patience but worth it in the end

Dealer says because its an export vehicle the underneath is rust proofed for the boat ride over. Makes sense I guess.

Ok. I assume the last batch built for Aus was Feb 2023. Pretty small numbers of 2023 build S550s either way.

You guys would definitely be in the last batch to come to Australia. Mine is still at the dock of Melbourne awaiting transport, so should be any day. Id be keen to know if anyone has a build date later than Jan 2023.

My Mustang is on the Carmen which is currently of the coast of NZ. Dealer tells me it is scheduled to arrive in Melbourne on the 11th March and at dealer on the 22nd March. Quarantine delays mean who knows?. I do feel sorry for the dealers. They are getting hammered by frustrated customers...

Regards the MT-82 I think its really hit and miss. Plenty of people are very happy with theirs. Others not so much. You would hope being the last run most bugs are fixed.

Dealer tells me my car is on the Carmen. Going through the Panama Canal currently. Anyone else have a vehicle on that ship?
