@PP0001 , what's the logic behind Ford sometimes using PP vs JR in the vehicle numbering? I understand that J is the year and R is for the GT350R... but the numbering (000) indicates a pre-production car? Why not just call it PP and then whichever sequential number they're at?

Great question with respect to FP now FR logic that is centered around using a chassis designation that will start with a "TT, PP or MP" for any of their pre-production vehicles but in numerous cases there seems a lack of consistency surrounding FP/FR using a pre-production chassis number or also using a regular production chassis number for a pre-production vehicle.

I could sight a number of examples regarding the above scenario but one of the best examples might be chassis HR001.

Based on my research for the 2017 GT350R model year there were 44 Base R examples of which 42 were allocated to the U.S. and 2 for Canada one of which was HR019 which I was able to secure.

Of the 44 Base R examples for the 2017 MY only 1 vehicle was a pre-production example with that vehicle happening to be HR001 with the door jamb decal showing a production date of 02/16 but in fact Jamal Hameedi's vehicle was not completed until the first week of 03/16.

When looking at that the chassis plate for HR001 us enthusiasts would think that it was a regular production vehicle but when looking at the VIN and the window sticker they both confirm that it was a pre-production vehicle and was able to confirm that it was a Tooling Tryout (TT) at that.

With respect to "JR000", when looking at the window sticker for that vehicle and also the VIN sequence it is definitely a Canadian 2018 GT350R pre-production example and will leave it at that and if the owner wants to expand upon that information or any additional details I will leave that up to Nick.
