2020-2022 GT500 Supercharger Bypass Valve Adjustment

I pulled the bypass valve off of the supercharger on my 2020 GT500 in order to prep it for porting at Kong. When I got it back and installed it onto the engine, I needed to reinstall the valve but couldn't find the spec or dimension for the proper amount of preload. That's because it doesn't exist. Instead, you have to set it with a bracket that comes from Ford when you buy a new valve. I didn't need a new valve though but found just the bracket at superchargersonline.com and it showed up at my doorstep a couple of days ago. A quick video to illustrate what I'm talking about.

Should I try this method on my 22 GT500 after lid and street core install getting a tick noise accelerating under load.

You don't have to touch the bypass valve in order to install a lid as it is bolted to the blower portion and not the lid. A lid such as VMP's will definitely exhibit a bit more engine noise.

Yes foam reinstalled

Can't speak to the tick noise but if your car was fine before it should be fine now. The only issues that would likely come from your install would be either a vacuum leak or an issue with the coolant if not filled properly. I smoke tested mine to be certain I had no vacuum leaks after a ported blower and lid install and it was all good.

Data log was good holding 14.5 psi of boost. Made 786 whp on the dyno

Just hate the tick noise.
Vmp lid, street core, water manifold, SPE 2.8 pulley, SPE t stat, Fathouse intake, LTH h pipe, vmp 108 throttle body, 93 w/ Boostane, tuned by Lund

Nice mod list. I assume you closed the gap on your plugs a hair (NGK's?).

You open up the intake tract and run a larger, thinner lid, and you can pick up a bit of "mechanical" noise under load. I like it.

Ngk 6510 gapped to .026 I believe.

I like most of the new noises except for the tick, makes it sound like something is broken

also have nitto RII 305/30/20 on rear
