My car is a 2015 GT. I just received my NIB catback and in the installation instructions it says one mid pipe is longer than the other midpipe and to put the longer one on the drivers side. The midpipes I have are exactly the same length and I can’t see any reason why they should be different by looking under the car.
I’d like to know if the system would install ok with these midpipes being the same length before I remove the OEM pipes.
I’d really appreciate comments from anybody who has installed this cat back.
Thanks

I have a MBRP catback setup and do not remember seeing anything about different lengths in the install paperwork, granted I glanced over it. They were the same length for me as well and would not have known any different if you didn't make this post. I would suggest fitting the system in place and keeping the bolts loose and check you exhaust tips for a uniform fit at the rear of the car. It will also help you get everything centered and not rubbing if you leave the bolts finger tight until you have fitment dialed in then you can tighten everything up. Good luck with your install and I enjoy the sound of my exhaust, but I find it to loud sometimes (catless currently) but no drone or rasp and have gotten a surprising amount of compliments about the sound.

I also have the MBRP catback and I don't recall the docs saying anything about unequal length pipes on the mid-pipe. Mine was equal length like yours and fits perfectly. I'd do what TeamHippo suggested and install with everything loose to be sure but I'll wager it's going to fit OK.

Thanks for responding, I will give it a try.

I have the same year 2015 GT and yes there is a difference in length of the pipe, but it is not much different and yes, it should go on the driver's side. I laid the two pipes together to see the difference. It will make a difference so take the time and match all the pipes, right and left together to see what MBRP is saying before installing. I think it was the S pipes that are not the same. My system was the race style, but they should all have the same fitment.

I have the MBRP race and the mid pipes are the same length for all the S550's I've owned. In fact the mid pipes came in as one unit.

Interesting., makes me feel better. I will lay the system out on the garage floor tomorrow before I remove the one on the car now

I have the MBRP STREET as I remember the mid pipe was slightly longer on the driver's side. I had to cut my other one off they boger welded it, and it had stock pipes and 3in pipe and ait droned like crazy...MBRP street no droning no rapping all same size sounds great.

I didn't have any drone with the race pipes and they sound great. I thought they were a little long out the back of the car, so I just pushed the tips on a little deeper on the pipe.

I you measure on the inside of the S pipe from the end of the pipe and just measure the flat not to the center of the bend you will see the difference it is about an inch. I just measured mine.

I have mine on the floor of the shop now because I just installed a new transmission and still need to install the exhaust.

Looking at the picture, I think you have it correct.
