Man, your journey is tempting me. Im in Australia, so finding wrecked rhd parts is expensive. Stop succeeding so I can stop dreaming lol
Man the rhd swap would be my dream but finding parts would be x3 times the price due to importing lol, I got more kinks to work out so only 95% succeeded lol but DO IT HAHA! Especially before they get more expensive

Next latest update, I bought the last of the interior that i need, the 2 leather knee pad panels for the side of the console, found out im missing the big center ac duct for the center vents, also ordered the dark horse black cup holder trim before the center console goes in permanently, I also got the S650 electronic hand brake installed, holes lined up with stock S550 handbrake mount, I also went ahead and lengthen the wires from the s650 handbrake and took photos so I can reference later once the Center console is in for good, this lead me to finally order a 2013 Kia Optima EPB Module, this is so far the most easiest and simple wiring diagram I have found for a EPB and has 4 switch inputs like the S650 does and a brake switch light trigger just like the S550 PB switch trigger, after the dash is done, I wl be taking a break until my next bonus to acquire the rear dual s650 brake conversion. I also found out something that will a lot of changes in forscan... forscan is not enough, so my steering wheel switch install has come to a halt due to canbus message overloads meaning some buttons work because they use the same signals as the s550 however the others like the modes, cruise control will send a message that the s550 does not understand to the gateway module, the gateway module basically says "hey you, we dont understand you so your locked in jail till we find out what your saying and what you are" and disables all the switches entirely, so lots of communicating with google ai searching all the forums related to my topic, google ai has gave me some advice that has been working so far, to buy a S650 gateway (just did) and only wire the S650 SCCM (steering column module, the thing the clockspring and wiper / turn signals mount to) HS2 wires directly to the S650 SCCM vs what i did which was wire the S650 SCCM HS2 to the S550 HS2 on the stock harness basically making the S650 Gateway a Exclusive Unit for the SCCM to talk to, the gateway then has to get bridged (3 way) to the S550's HS1 wires at the S550 Gateway (HS2 is like the letter you'd send at the post office but the HS1 is the actually messenger or mail man) and thus will allow the S650 switches to theoretically function because the S650 gateway will be communicating on the S550 Harness, this should also fix the mode buttons and as for the traction button, I have to try and change some coding to theoretically tell the abs to look for a message canbus signal vs a phyical signal from the s550 switch signal since S650 traction communicates on canbus

Also I was looking at s650 seat cover take offs for my 2016 that has brown saddle leather. Their listing description says they fit but they need modifications for the attachment style to the s550 seat frames.
Does anyone have experience with this?
Did you try out the fitment yet? I was thinking the same since it's nearly impossible to find saddle for tbe lower driver side.

I have not, I deleted my rear seats, but honestly wouldn't doubt they'd fit, so far everything else fits on the interior like plug and play, obviously needs other matching parts

Still have been waiting to find the brown takeoffs. Only have found black takeoffs. Apparently the mounting clips are the same but the same seat sizes.

Alright so a little upset cause 2 packages were suppose to show and usps claimed "we could not access the delivery location" but yet they delivered the mail earlier.. I'm just eager but still no excuses lol so I did some wiring today, I extended the wires for the parking brake switch, the electronic parking brake and did take delivery of my kia optima electronic parking brake module but can't start wiring until I acquire the calipers for testing, I did finish wiring to the center console and by that i mean the S650 has a CONSOLE LIGHT! I had a hell of a trouble trying to locate the connector and wiring but it is labeled as the center console lock, sure enough my s550 had the same connector that was connected to nothing (green) and also wiring pins were both in the wrong spot so I snipped the connector since the console didn't have the lock but just the lights (share same 4 pin connector, 2 for the lock and 2 for the light) i wired the connector to my shifter connector (I'm a manual, was the purple wire for the illumination, i used this for my cupholder s550 light, and the black and violet next to the violet pin is ground), so now the console light turns on when light sensor gets dark. I also heavily debated on doing a cupholder light again but then i realized when my ice coffees spill, its annoying cause it goes in between the gaps of the light and makes nasty dark spots so for ease of sanity, will probably not. Oh also my packages were the s650 shifter bezel and the black cup holder bezel to finally finish the center console install. I did notice something cool today though, when i have android auto on, the cluster displays turn by turn and shows when someone is calling

@WolfMxbee You encouraged me to try fitting an S650 cluster into my S550. The plan is to run it with the S550 digital dash bezel, plus the S550 SCCM and steering wheel buttons. I’ll almost certainly need some kind of CAN bus proxy to translate the S550 bus messages into a format the S650 cluster understands. I already have the module, and the display is on the way.
Actually i reread your message now that I got more knowledge as I go, you only need to change one thing in forscan, in the IPC the fuel source is set to PCM for S650 i believe and you just need to change it to IPC source, and fuel gauge works but everything will work plug and play, even the s550 steering switches

My display arrived yesterday, and I tried it right away. So far, these are the problems I’ve run into:
  • only the up/down steering wheel buttons work, so at the moment there’s no obvious way to enter the menus.
  • the drive mode and steering mode buttons aren’t working either.
  • tacho shows 0 rpm.
  • bunch of smaller things like the high beam indicator, fuel level, and a few others, but those don’t seem too serious, possibly can be solved via forscan

Hmmm what year is yours, try messing with the steering wheel switch settings in the sccm

the car is a 2015, but the SCCM is from the facelift because I retrofitted the digital cluster.

Even the steering wheel switch works!! Well... sort of, can only go through the menus up and down
I mean the same situation here. Only up/down buttons are working.

@WolfMxbee by the way, can you send me the firmware files for the S650 SCCM?
