Man the rhd swap would be my dream but finding parts would be x3 times the price due to importing lol, I got more kinks to work out so only 95% succeeded lol but DO IT HAHA! Especially before they get more expensiveMan, your journey is tempting me. Im in Australia, so finding wrecked rhd parts is expensive. Stop succeeding so I can stop dreaming lol
Did you try out the fitment yet? I was thinking the same since it's nearly impossible to find saddle for tbe lower driver side. Also I was looking at s650 seat cover take offs for my 2016 that has brown saddle leather. Their listing description says they fit but they need modifications for the attachment style to the s550 seat frames.
Does anyone have experience with this?
I have not, I deleted my rear seats, but honestly wouldn't doubt they'd fit, so far everything else fits on the interior like plug and play, obviously needs other matching partsDid you try out the fitment yet? The saddle is hard for me to find cause i cant tell if its brown or redStill have been waiting to find the brown takeoffs. Only have found black takeoffs. Apparently the mounting clips are the same but the same seat sizes.
Actually i reread your message now that I got more knowledge as I go, you only need to change one thing in forscan, in the IPC the fuel source is set to PCM for S650 i believe and you just need to change it to IPC source, and fuel gauge works but everything will work plug and play, even the s550 steering switches@WolfMxbee You encouraged me to try fitting an S650 cluster into my S550. The plan is to run it with the S550 digital dash bezel, plus the S550 SCCM and steering wheel buttons. I’ll almost certainly need some kind of CAN bus proxy to translate the S550 bus messages into a format the S650 cluster understands. I already have the module, and the display is on the way.
My display arrived yesterday, and I tried it right away. Hmmm what year is yours, try messing with the steering wheel switch settings in the sccmMy display arrived yesterday, and I tried it right away. So far, these are the problems I’ve run into:
- only the up/down steering wheel buttons work, so at the moment there’s no obvious way to enter the menus.
- the drive mode and steering mode buttons aren’t working either.
- tacho shows 0 rpm.
- bunch of smaller things like the high beam indicator, fuel level, and a few others, but those don’t seem too serious, possibly can be solved via forscan
the car is a 2015, but the SCCM is from the facelift because I retrofitted the digital cluster.Hmmm what year is yours, try messing with the steering wheel switch settings in the sccm
I mean the same situation here. Only up/down buttons are working.Even the steering wheel switch works!! Well... sort of, can only go through the menus up and down
Yee i gotchu, also I'm still waiting on my gateway module, stuck in Texas but I'll let you know if it fixes the switches@WolfMxbee by the way, can you send me the firmware files for the S650 SCCM?
