S550 to S650 parts swap and interchangeability possibilities

Alright guys so I am on my right now for one of the biggest and almost last item for the dash swap, I was hesitant because I was originally inquiring on a dash pad on ebay that finally popped up and just listed locally about an hour away, I noticed it didn't include the dash bar that the whole dash mounts too... so It was originally listed for $750 for only the dash pad, they messaged me asap and said they could do $250 for the dash bar and unable to ship it due to weight and size, so i was like oh perfect!! Better then buying a whole dash that comes with the bar and parts i dont need and having to pick it up at the port cause its a freight size item, so i was expecting the total to be like 1k for everything... until they updated the listing to 1k for just the dash pad so i asked pricing for everything together and they said $1300.... so Im only picking up the frame lol, i can find the dash pad later to complete it but i dont need it, I'll keep you updated

So are you swapping a complete dash into the car so your screen display will be mounted appropriately?

Yee I'm gonna be swapping the whole dash, my point in mounting the cluster now was to ensure 1, I have working controls and important info to maintain having a drivable daily and 2, to see if i can keep my s550 bcm and wiring harness or if i need to cough up more funds for all the big BCM, ABS module, Wiring etc from the S650 but looks like I can utilize my S550 harness and everything besides what powers the cluster and center screen like the modules for the radio and ac.
I can't find pics as theres not a single seller that has it listed, only the dash plastics but for reference heres the s550, i think i posted it on here before on like page 4 but ill double check

Also its crazy to reflect on where this whole thread started back in april of 2023, and how far and how much I have learned and accomplished with this swap so far, and I wanna appreciate everyone who has stayed and watched the progress! Definitely hope once this is complete, someone will definitely take a look at this and won't feel intimidated and attempt it along side me, definitely way cheaper then buying a new S650 lol

I managed to get this bad boy installed to match and finish off my interior, the stripe is centered, I just took the Pic at an angle

Also I was looking at s650 seat cover take offs for my 2016 that has brown saddle leather. Their listing description says they fit but they need modifications for the attachment style to the s550 seat frames.
Does anyone have experience with this?

From my knowledge they should fit but i can confirm this

Also dash bar has been acquired, $250! The dash pad and harness I'm 50/50 cause they were very pricey but we will see

They look identical, you should be able to get away with using the s650, if something is different, itll probably be the locations where the hog rings are place but they are very easy to install in different locations then oem

I... liked it... so I had a forged carbon one with alcantara, was sick but i could never feel confident turning cause i like to feed the wheel into my hand and self consciously knowing im rubbing the alcantara in the process made me tense up and kinda grip then release then grip again vs sliding the wheel against my hand, so then went stock wheel and then matured lol forged was cool but looks tacky after a while so got the matte carbon (gloss carbon is cool but matte just feels and looks more expensive but in a elegant way but just my opinion) the matte I fell in love with but then everytime i sat in my s550, the leather bolsters started to feel huge and out of place, I really want a OE style wheel with matte and flat bottom instead of the over designed aggressive hand bolsters like the early ricer 2000 steering wheels, so I went with a quick release setup cause it was cheaper to replace to different wheels lol since im on my 6th wheel now, but that matte carbon was my favorite, no issues either, everything fit perfect

Also i realized i havent posted a update of the mustang, I took the front lip off since it started actually damaging the DH bumper since california drive ways suck! Honestly love the look better, looks simple and not as busy, added some rear scoops to make the rear look less empty, and got a new wing with a double wing to cover my old ducktail holes... honestly at first looks weird but the more you look at it, it grows on everyone lol since our S550s look bald with no wing, also added some auxbeam fog lights and made custom brackets for the DH bumper for the canyons and there STUPID BRIGHT, tried them on the freeway and lol they shine all the signs above me

Also flames are gone, lol got bored real fast and took them off, also got gt350 stripes and actually love them better as a solid strip so combined the dual to a single stripe

I plan on getting rid of the goofy endplates on the spoiler and make some carbon ones, also got the smoked S650 tail lights, officially my 7th set of tail lights

Screen has some light scratches and the dark spot is a finger print smudge lol, this is the center display that is bigger then the gauge cluster haha

Alright so my APIM comes today, plan on knocking out the wiring over the next few days, I am using computer pin wiring to make troubleshooting easier then cutting and splicing and having to redo everything but I got the push start to operate perfectly, starts and goes into accessory mode like normal
