Update, I took a small break due to work transferring me to a new shop, been racking up more OT then i could ever imagine, 110 hours every 2 weeks so now the swap gonna come faster!! Purchased the steering column and the cluster screen last night

Cluster was the cheapest and the cleanest I found for $250, others were $500 and up and they were all scratched badly, the column was $60 from my favorite S650 seller!! Also found other columns for $300+

So the overall wiring diagrams were overwhelming... so today I decided hey instead of tracing a whole circuit, let me decode a individual connector at a time, found out that the S650 Cluster connector and the wiring inputs are identical to the S550 with the exception of the S650 having 2 additional wires only for the chime speaker!! So I pulled the trigger on the cluster module which averages $200-$500, I got it for $145

Looking into the APIM right now for the center screen, so far the main connector is the same from S550 to S650, obviously I need to look into the pin layout but physically the same connection

S550 Top, S650 Bottom, Ignore Middle

Sold my center console to a buddy on instagram, gave me the additional funds to go purchase a S650 Center console, got it complete with upper and lower half, even gave him my custom stitch shift and ebrake boots since no need obviously anymore lol (unfortunately shipping was $100) but offered $200 before shipping and seller accepted immediately, was asking $350 before shipping

My cluster display comes tomorrow (thursday), the cluster module comes on friday, so hopefully on friday I'll have the cluster working however keep in mind that the settings and controls are operated through the center screen on the s650 so It will only be for speed and fuel for now until i can acquire the rest

Im so HYPED!!! I WAS RIGHT!! factory s550 cluster connector plug and played into s650 module however i did find out yesterday there is another connector port (4 pin) that had nothing connected, after lots of searching through wiring diagrams, it is fuse 13 on the S650 for power and a ground, pin 1 is vbatt and pin 4 is ground where 2 and 3 are not used!! Even the steering wheel switch works!! Well... sort of, can only go through the menus up and down lol but its a GT cluster and GT module and it reconfigured to my eco tach and speedometer

Alright so i finally got to drive it home, SPEED WORKS and also learned just a few small things haha, well for starters, gas gauge dont work so gotta dig into the wiring (shouldve been plug and play cause same pins from s550 to s650 but its obviously something isnt communicating), traction button no longer works, drive modes dont work, steering mode doesnt work, um steering wheel buttons work like the s550 however i dont have the menu to access other features besides the normal menu up and down lol, cruise control doesnt work, apparently s650s have rear seat weight sensors... and rear seat belt notifications...? Plus a lot of features my base eco does not have like lane assist, etc. But besides the basic functions, works perfectly, also have the screen ziptied for now so i can actually say I have a digital dash now and its official lmao and the funny thing is, this is my daily :cwl: now time to buy the center screen and the module for the ac and the radio to get the functions for the cluster working! Stay tuned for more DIY on the S650 interior swap

Update also forgot, all headlight switch modes are working and compatible with s550 switch since i am still utilizing s550 harness, bcm etc, it shows you what mode the headlight switch is on the cluster, and the dim buttons work as well as the turn signals but figure i throw that in there

Good news, center console is out for delivery, but I did take delivery of my whole steering column last night (free shipping, can't beat it and paid $60 for it! It did not come with the intermediate shaft but thats fine, this whole assembly came with the clockspring, and steering switches which is an absolute steal, think this is the best deal i found so far!

The reason i need the steering column is cause once i place the order on the upper dash with the dash metal Reinforcement frame, the mounts are different for the steering column so S550 will not bolt on to S650 dash

Center Console came in today and looks 10x better then the leather that came in the S550 premiums, however the s650 no longer comes with the Ambient Cup Holder but there is another model I found on the forums that is a plug and play oe option for the cup holder, cup holders look deeper too since the key antenna is normally in the s550 cup holder (I knew this before selling my console so I unscrewed the bracket to still maintain starting my car lol, the S650 is under the armrest cubby, also the armrest is WAY softer and not much but does have more padding

I am actually about to purchase the S650 handbrake, so I have 2 routes, I can either convert the S650 into a cable driven handbrake utilizing the s550 handbrake, or I been researching: utilizing wilwoods electronic brake module and run the s650 handbrake off of it as a switch since thats all the s650 handbrake acts as, then running the s650 rear electronic calipers requiring the spindle, lower bucket and other arms from the s650 in the rear

Just read this whole thread. Good work. I didn't see you mention it, but the seats and seat harnesses bolt right up. Just need to update the occupancy sensor. Lots of different options for seats and seatbelts on the S650 compared to the 550.

Alright so Mach VII got me thinking and already found a writeup for the calipers except I won't be utilizing the kit but building my own now with what I see they used, pretty much everything I will build will be identical with the exception of the toggle switch being the S650 parking brake (same function and design, just a parking brake moving up and down vs a toggle flipping up and down)

https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0...rake_wiring_kit_instructions.pdf?v=1748375722

Also this part is for my own reference to look back to and others of course, so rear IRS is S550 and S650 identical, after research, the S650 utilizing the Brembo and drift brake (I'm gonna turn the drift brake into a parking brake and thats it), so everything mentioned is going to only be for the brembo option in the rear - it does not used the same vertical links as GT or eco s550, ONLY the GT500 as I'm thinking ford actually took the GT500 rear design and used it for the S650 PP w/ brembos, the lower bucket is different from the S650 equipped with pp vs non pp so lower control arm will have to be sourced from a PP, same for the Knuckle, still verifying the Lateral arm and Upper Control Arm.

Another update : after researching, there are 2 brembo models, base brembo and PP brembo, base brembo basically has a non painted aluminum 4 piston front brembo and a 1 piston single rear electric parking brake, the PP with the drift brake has 2 options, the button or the physical hand brake but both still use painted brembo 4 piston in the front and 2 rear calipers, 1 4 piston caliper and a 2 piston electric parking brake
