Today I detailed the Bullitt. This is the second coat of The Last Coat. In so doing, the car stands out better than a brand new one. No scratches, dings, dents. Flawless. Tires are nearly new as most of the miles on the car are driving from Detroit to Houghton and from when I bought the car in Texas.
Note: I contacted AutoCheck to find out why it was an "89". The MI SOS did not register the title properly and when I received it in the mail, it was incorrect. So, I went back and they corrected it. I owned the car the whole time. Irritating, but Autocheck reports everything. Just FYI.
During that drive I did not exceed 4,500 RPM. I have done 3 oil changes on the car. Once at 1,000 miles and again before the Superchgarger and then with the recommended 5W50 Motorcraft synthetic recommended by Whipple a couple of thousand miles ago. Original oil was excellent.
I have records from each oil change and date.
After issues with my 2015, I installed the Whipple Stage 1 kit myself. This is the second supercharger I have installed. Installation was perfect. Took my time. Has the Whipple tune on it. Has stock like drivability but a lot more power!
Perfect paint. No accidents, dings or road rash on the rims.
Tune is Whipple's own. 50 state emissions approved. 91 Octane minimum.
This is an opportunity to get GT 500 Power in a real manual transmission!
This car has 7,367 miles on it. It's garaged and not plated so those are the miles.
Included are:
Active Valve exhaust
Electronics package
Electronic gauge cluster
MagneRide
Performance Package 1
6 Speed Manual Transmission with twin disc clutch. Rev Matching
3:73 Torsen Axle
Leather Interior
Basically a loaded Mustang GT Premium with most all options.
The only modifications are:
- Stage 1, Gen 3 complete Whipple supercharger kit. Huge intercooler. No heat soak.
- Redline hood struts.
- BMR Lockout kit. No additional noise, vibration or harshness. Helps the tires bite.
- Steeda jacking rails to raise the car up anywhere along the side without damaging the pinch weld.
All options except Recaro seats. Has MagneRide, Electronics Package and cover. Always garaged. Never driven in winter. Mint. Sticker price $51,780 with out the Whipple kit.
I had Lidio from Alternative Auto in Chesterfield, Michigan put it on the dyno and it mad 625 RWHP SAE at 7,000 RPM speed limited. He said the tune was spot on. Whipple says 675RWHP + at 7,800 RPM. And 775 at the crank. Runs perfect with Whipple's tune. This is a similar setup as the McQueen Bullitt.
