Will a MAK cat delete be the same as getting a cat delete at a shop?

Was gonna get mak cat deletes for the 30hp gain, but found an exhaust shop that will also do cat deletes with stainless steel.

Would it be the same as getting mak cat deletes? or is there something special about mak cat deletes that will allow more hp gain

thanks

Nothing special. Just tell your shop what you want you want and have them fab it up. What makes MAK special is they have it premeasured already and have test fitted it on many cars and also developed solutions based on feedback. Things like flanges to reinstall your cats if you want. All stuff a reputable exhaust shop can do but may take more time (and therefore money) to get the equivalent product.

No. Just deleting the cats and leaving the rest of the piping would keep you with 2.25" headerback to catback piping. MAK deletes make it 3" to the catback.
I have corsa extreme catbacks on right now. So he'd have to make them 3" right?

If they use flanges, the same material, the same diameter and mandrel bends then no it won't be any different.

Most shops however don't do all that, and you get some busted ass looking bends and metal that will rust in a few months.

Not saying MAKs are the pinnacle of engineering, but just make sure you know what you're getting from these shops.
