Small £10 mod - two nice little b-pillar badges off eBay - well made (and I hope the inward curvature of the pillar will keep them out of the the wind - so they should stay on!)

This will also help with your front/rear weight distribution and provide more ground-hugging weight over the rear axles...right where you need it~~!!

My $8 engine bay mod. Vinyl stickers that are a 2 part process. First apply like a regular sticker, then using a medium hard plastic to rub it really good to adhere to the surface. In this case, on mat finish it was more difficult to remove. The end result takes a while to peal away but it really makes the engine compartment pop. The quality for vinyl is a B+ but the price is awesome.

Did the same thing to mine with this one instead, quality of the vinyl seemed good to me but I did a wet application for some reason and the D ended up peeling up eventually so I took the whole thing off :(

Got an itch to have a new fuel lid, having seen one flashing by on a moving ‘stang.
Ordered one by Drake - what a lot of expense ($80 to import) for plastic tat. It didn’t fit properly - see 2 pics - and the attachment clips were flimsy at best. Whole thing looked out of place. So, I sent it back (only got 50% refund because import duty, postage, and return postage (in all $40) were non-refundable) and decided to make my own:
A4 piece of black carbon wrap by 3M - £6
5cm running pony (that I sprayed silver) - £20
A pack of carbon-steel roofing washers - £3.
Bang - for a bit of effort, a DIY solution can actually look better (IMO) than the plastic tat that’s often foisted on us modders for exorbitant prices.

I followed your lead but on a smaller scale with 3M Chrome Pinstripe in the grooves of my Eco cover (free mod - remainder of a leftover roll)

Well, it’s official.... COVID19 has me so bored, I decided to put painted covers on the plastic welds on my engine cover.

Surprisingly it turned out better than I thought. :)

Now I am thinking I should go red, rather than white. :)

Yeah, me too Bud!!! Gonna change it as soon as I get a rattle can of red!!

I got about 100 of those buttons. They are buttons you use to hide screw heads on things like kitchen cabinets.
