How much hp can a 2017 Mustang GT stock engine can handle?

After a few days testing the car, I’ve noticed the cht peaked @ 225 F. I’ve seen the same numbers @ 87 F up to 99 F. The iat has been consistent between 2 to 5 degrees F. The cht do goes down once I started driving. I’ve seen a couple posts about 220’s are normal although I can get the 170 tstat to lower it down. I would like to install the tstat but, I’ve seen a retune is a must? I’ll do everything myself from now on except the custom tune.

Retune is only to turn the fans on at the right temp for the 170 stat.

Thanks y’all. I made a phone call to have it installed and retune to change the tstat and everything came out $135 plus part. Sounds like a good deal to me. Yes he’ll tune it to turn the fan on a little earlier. He did mentioned 180 thermostat as well but, the 170 will be fine as well.

After driving the car almost a month and under 1k miles, I’ve seen from 90 to 105 F, my 180 tstat always at 210’s range cht moving. I think I’m good without changing the tstat. Car seems very healthy and I don’t lose any power since changing the spark plugs to ngk’s. 210perfomance from San Antonio and a Mustang specialist also mentioned that the gen 2 tstat is good and doesn’t need to be change after installing the procharger p1x.

Y’all wait to change the engine oil down to 10% oil life or sooner since going boosted? I used Mobil 1 full synthetic.

I do mine every 3k-5k just to be on the safe side, I run my cars pretty hard so I try to give em good oil changes and I do fresh plugs every few months
