Is the replacement you found also a 2018 with some miles? If so, it's selling price should be a decent basis for current "market price". If, instead, the replacement is a new 2019, yeah, you may well have to eat the depreciation. You may have recourse against the garage for that loss, though.

Its a demo with 600.00 miles. But with recaros, mag shocks etc. But its yellow and thats the colour I want.

It actually, at least to me, doesn't sound like a bad replacement possibility. You are determined to get the same yellow as your lost Mustang. No other yellow stangs available in Oz. If selling dealer offers you premium guarantee and perhaps a goodie or two to lighten your suffering, perhaps you should seriously consider it.

Ah, got it, it's upspec over yours. So, yeah, you'll have to cover that charge.

But, is a "demo" considered "used" in Oz? If so, you could argue to the insurance company that, net of the upgraded components, the replacement's price is a fair reflection of "fair market value" your used 2018.

Sounds like that dealerships a piece of s***.. they definitely had something to do with it. let alone probably not capable of replacing your engine. If you can go after them!!

I keep waking up each morning expecting to see it on the news. I think who has it? it may be in some scumbag suburb not too for from me. They have the key - if they dont get stupid and picked up by the cops they have a free 80,000 (Aus$) car. Pisses me off. I'm shopping for the same parts I had - wheels are top of the list. The 5 spoke ones 19"I had are now not available only as a 20"!!! I dont want to loose the Michelin Pilots which are really good tyres( unlike the Pzeros crap) Got to look for new ones but I bet they are now double what I paid. Also I had custom plates (Coyote 435). I can get them from DMV again for a small fee but cant use them until some time far in the future as the cops (who cant find my car) will see a 18 Mustang GT, yellow, same plates, you know what will happen. "Look boss we caught the guy - and he says he is the real owner! Tasered him real good".
Anyone in USA and Aus knows of similar wheels not too expensive give me a shout. I was tempted by CJ pony wheels but they are all 19X10 which is too wide for front I think - unless anyone can advise me (using the pilots as std). The picture is from my 2016 - I kept the wheels.

KMC district 625. Mine are 20x8 and 20x10, I believe they have 19s though.

Look at Project 6gr wheels model 5. A 19x10 will fit fine with a 35 to 40mm offset.

Its never a good idea to programme your real home location into a sat nav for the reason Chris gives. Best to mark some public location nearby as "home"
