I wouldn't mind a CJ on my 18 A10, but I can imagine changing the mounts with my longtubes on being a pain.

I'll get it done one day.....wish I would've thought to install the Steeda mounts when I installed the exhaust.

After looking at them, it's doable (Kooks).

The hardest part about changing the mounts is the crazy locktite that the factory uses

Trust me, I’m fully aware. I had to replace one that got rounded off on my header install......good times.

Would a cowl hood clear the CJ without lowering the motor ?
I’m sure it would if it was a big enough cowl. Probably at least 2”

There is no way you'd need a full 2" cowl. the adjustable motor mounts drop a maximum of 3/4" and the oil pan hits if you do the full drop. You'd need a 1/2" to 1" cowl max if you didn't touch the mounts.

Sounds good. I think if I were going with a cowl hood I would go with a 3” one. I’ve always liked the big cowl look

I think the4” Cervinis is the only fiberglass one offered. It looks damn good though. Anderson offers CF ones

Any weight reduction with Cervinis cowl hood ?
I’m sure there is. For being aluminum, the stock hood is pretty heavy. I’m sure Cervinis could tell you the difference. I don’t need the clearance, I’m doing it for looks!

Cervini’s ram air hood will clear it and it looks pretty sharp too
