Are you Paxton guys getting less boost in lower gears .I have a manual and in 2nd gear I just seen like 9 psi at 7500rpms or so and in 3rd gear I was getting like 13.5 at 7600 RPMs or so. Trying to see if that is normal . I think I'm starting to get a little belt slip because I'm supposed to be getting 15 psi at 7600 RPMs and I know when I first had to set up done, my guage was reading exactly that . But then again it might have been in 4th gear when I was getting the 15psi, I just tested it out in 3rd. Any help would be appreciated .

You should get real close to the same boost in each gear at the same rpm. Keep in mind weather changes effect the boost now. The winter cold thicker air can give you a couple of pounds swing too.

Yeah, boost should be nearly identical. RPM is what dictates boost.

Along with the weather change, check your air filter. If its dirty and clogged that can reduce boost as well.

Just make sure you have enough fuel for the extra boost. If you take the filter off.

I have e85 i run full time . How much extra boost does it give? I talked to the Paxton support department and he told me I should be getting the same PSI numbers through every gear, just like you guys said. He said could be a possible boost leak, belt slip and could definitely possibly be a dirty air intake . The thing is only like 10 months old. But I guess it could happen

If you see black dust/powder around the pulleys that would indicate belt slip. Try tightening it down a little and see if that helps.

Do you have traction control on? Maybe it's closing the throttle partially when detecting wheel slip?

Open filter shouldn't increase boost that much, but watch for sucking in any debris lol, I think the better option would be to just clean/replace the filter. Or check to see if it looks dirty at all in the first place.

I have the jlt filter and it does not look crazy dirty. I'm going to clean it though .
Guess it is possible I might have had on traction control because sometimes I forget to turn it off when I get in my car unless I'm racing .
I'm actually going out tonight and doing some data logs and I will make sure it's off and we will see how it goes .
As for black dust, I only have maybe a cue tip size, if that.
