Heard a 2018 GT go past, sounded great. Asked the guy further down the road which mode he had it in, Track apparently.

Can anyone tell me what exhaust system for '15 versions, best matches the Track mode in '18? Can I replicate a similar noise without going x/h pipe as concerned it will then be too loud

Think you need the x/h pipe

I have a borla s type car back it's pricey but it's loud when you want it to be and sensible when you don't

Yes ive been looking at the s type or the touring. Just don't want it to sound too loud and chavvy when pottering about, only want it to sing on acceleration. Does the s type fulfill this?

Anyone got any suggestions of exhaust without changing to x/h pipe?

Roush axel back is plenty boisterous for me (and my neighbours!)

Go with a cat back system. The original exhaust is very restrictive and very heavy.
I did my own exhaust so I know how heavy it is. The original exhaust had the suitcase style resonator.
My advise is get the Borla S-Type. Loud only when on wide open throttle.
The weight saving is a bonus and the exhaust is way better made than the standard exhaust.

My axle back S type is fine and loud when on it. Not too loud other times and never any rasp or drone. Lovely crackles and pops on down shifts too

Iā€™ve got the Borla Active Exhaust on my GT and it sounds epic. You get the noise when you want it and can turn it to marginally louder than stock at the press of a button.

Quality of the parts is top notch as youā€™d expect with genuine Ford parts.

This is the link to the kit Iā€™ve purchased

https://www.cjponyparts.com/ford-pe...-rear-valance-premium-gt-2015-2017/p/M5200M8/

I tried to do a quick video clip to show the different modes, not the best but you get the idea.

Sounds great on loud setting but want to keep it simple ie not active exhaust

Thanks all.
Anyone tried the Milteck exhaust? Wonder how it compares to Borla S type?

Agree with that...for my daily driver I wouldnā€™t want much louder. Is quiet enough on a cruise but sounds ace when pushed. More of a deep burble than a raspy tone. Extremely loud on cold starts though
