it can use the wifi to update it's software and it can also use the connection to download album art from Gracenote. The car also has its own wifi network passengers can connect to and share the internet connection of a bluetooth connected phone.

Isn't the service book purely ornamental now that the service logs for the car are all digital?

Not just mugged off but it would be VERY hard for you to fit yourself. You have to remove that part of the dash, the existing plate is held in with adhesive and has to be cut to remove it and then glue in the correct plate. My dealer didn't know how the dash came apart and took an extra day...

It absolutely is NOT up to you to fit the plate! The dealer should have done that for you...
