I posed the same question to the GT350 tech folks at Ford Performance, and they confirmed the Mustang Spare Tire Kit will NOT fit a GT350. However, they emailed me this list of Ford parts that make up a GT350 spare tire kit for countries that mandate spare tires.
So, here is what is needed to...
Great, guys, thanks! What's frustrating is that a Ford dealer used my GT350 VIN as a compatibility check on this Ford part, and he said his computer showed that it "fits." I wonder why.
Anyone know definitively whether the Ford Mustang Spare Tire Kit (FR3Z-1K007-C) will work with the GT350? I have a 2018. And does it fit in the trunk space, under the mat? I get different answers on parts sites on whether this is compatible with a GT350, although a Ford parts dealer told me it...
The second tire configuration is what I have now on my 2018 GT350, and it works great.
As for the gas mileage issue, you're stuck with that on a GT350. This isn't the car for anyone who's worried about gas consumption. That's what Hondas are for.
Not sure how you're searching, but there are definitely options for all-season tires for a GT350: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearchResults.jsp?zip-code=06784&frontWidth=255/&frontRatio=40&frontDiameter=19&rearWidth=275/&rearRatio=40&rearDiameter=19
Or you could go with this, which is a...
Availability, or lack thereof, might make this decision for you. A convenience package GT350 is tough to find, especially if you're looking for a specific color or two.
Either way, good luck in your search.
The convenience package is the way to go if you're not doing that much tracking. The heated/cooled seats are great and more comfortable, IMHO. (I drive my GT350 during cold weather in the Northeast, and the heated seats were a must.) Getting in and out of the GT350 with Recaros is tough because...
Because the analog gauges are old-school and cooler. I test drove a new GT PP with the digital dash and didn't like it at all. I'm glad they stayed with the same dash for the Shelby.
I'm also glad I bought my '18 GT350 in the now-discontinued Lightning Blue. These upgrades are nice, but nothing...
Nicely done. I'm using the license-plate-on-the-dash technique here in CT. If/when I get a ticket for that, I'll look into options. We don't have the little stickers either.
Wow! Rough deal.
So, let me get this straight: Ford pushes the GT350 and GT350R as its most track capable cars ever, encourages tracking the cars through advertising and features/equipment on the cars, and invites all new owners to learn how to race the cars on a track at "Track Attack," BUT...
