Interesting thread.
My first GT350 was a 2016 Tech Pack.
I drove it every day to work and back. Checked oil frequently as I do on all my vehicles.
I certainly didn't baby it.
I did hit a young hog that ran across the road on the way to work one early morning, so had to have some repairs done to...
Kept the GT350R and added a McLaren 720S.
Why? As my daughter said when she drove it... Dad, that's stupid fast!
Yes, it is. But the GT350R is still fun!
I might be wrong, but everything I can find seems to indicate the oil pressure 'switch' is located AFTER the filter. If that's the case, that is good. More oil to the engine.
Please correct me if I'm wrong....
Fully agree that if it is BEFORE the filter, that means the filter is restricting...
Not trying to be an a*hole, but if no power is there, it is mostly likely an open circuit.
If it is/was a short, the fuse would most likely be blown.

I'm 73 as well. Probably not the oldest here...
My son has a GT350R and we've been to the track together with the 'R's several times.
I find it difficult to keep up with him!
Ah, the joys and bravery of youth.

FWIW,

You will enjoy it. I had my GT40 there back in 2009.
The 'kink' is infamous as being a bitch, but you won't even notice it until you are really moving.
Have fun!

Yes, when they decided to make more, I received another invitation to reapply.
I did not.
I was too annoyed by the refusal the first time around and had decided on the McLaren.
In my humble opinion, the 720S has more performance than the Ford GT for 2/3 of the price.
But hey, that's just me...
