Latest version is 3.0.2xx
I would not do the 3.4 upgrade as there are hardware difference to the 2020 mustang.
I would just wait for Ford to release the update and play it safe.
The radiator hose cant just fall off even if you drive it like a maniac.
This means they did poor installation and did not pressure test it.
If they did not even do this basic checks god knows what else they did not do during your new engine installation.
It is important to note here its not just 5W-30 but it has to be 5W-30 A5. This oil is a FE (Fuel Efficient) 5w-30 oil.
It has lower viscosity than normal 5W30 but thicker than 5W-20. I am guessing its because we live in a warmer climate.
No you certainly dont need to warm up the engine before driving it.
The Penrite 5W-30 that meets the ford spec is A5, it is more like between 5W-20 to 5W-30 in thickness. Just pouring the oil through a funnel you can see that the Penrite 5w-30 drains faster than normal 5W-30. So it would flow...
It is the official Ford Dealer that uses 5w-40 engine oil I am not sure why.
So if anything goes wrong well its their fault.
No they dont use/have motorcraft oil either but they do use motorcraft oil filter.
Motorcraft oil is just rebranded conoco phillips oil if im not mistaken.
My Ford dealer uses 5W-40 for servicing all Ford cars.
Our owners manual specify 5W-30 A5 (Fuel efficient) engine oil.
One thing i notice with the 5W-30 A5 engine oil usage is a lot higher than say 5W-40. I have not had to top up so far and oil level is still at max.
I dont know if adding cooler to a car with no problem is a good idea. Its like fixing something that is not broken. The more things you add the more piping and parts are added. It would just be additional point of failure in the future such as hoses, clamps etc.
Guys, I just noticed that the Ford dealer who serviced my car uses a 5w-40 full synthetic oil.
This is not an issue. I am happy that they use full synthetic. However, the manual calls for 5w-30.
I am shocked that Ford dealer would use engine oil that does not meet the ford spec WSS-M2C913D for...
Ok first of all you need to record from the drivers side (RHD) below the car and rev it to around 2k. If you are not hearing anything then there is no rattle.
Any type of rattle is not normal and should be reported ASAP.
Make sure there is enough engine oil in the engine.
I have 2017 GT and...
Its the exact same part just different build date. I have seen 18 GT with 17 build date for the oil cooler. It is the exact same one.
It is hard to see with naked eyes when you are underneath the car. My advise is to take a photo with your smartphone you can see the build date clearly once you...
