Well, I’m no science-type guy, but I’m guessing if there’s a scratch, the ceramic coating is gone but the ppf will heal.
Btw, the ppf goes on first, then the coating. ;)
So I'm in the market for a Chevelle SS. The SS trims came with hood pins, which I think are cool. The wife thinks they look like nipple rings and look stupid.
So I'd like the forum to chime in and let her know what they think of hood pins on the Chevelle. yea or nay?
the OEM GT350 stripes are not only crazy expensive, but wouldn't fit on a non-GT350 model: the GT350 has hood vents that the stripes go over. (see pic)
I did a lot of research on the vinyl and settled on Avery brand vinyl. It was a perfect match for the Blue GT350 stripe. I had my installer...

Check out my last post (#85). I wasn't sure what to expect since the white platinum was a new color for the car and I had only seen stripes on oxford white.
But I YOLO'ed and put blue stripes. It. looks. great.

I've been through this whole thread but haven't read if there's an actual TSB for this problem. So, is there a TSB that we can print up and show to the service managers?
The operations manager I spoke to at my local dealership tells me that there have been 4 different part numbers for the A/C evaporator for the s550. So, hopefully, this most recent part will be the most reliable.
"Hopefully" being the key word here.
My driver's side door is not closing flush. The dealer has tried simple measures to adjust it but it hasn't helped. (See pics)
At this point service is going to try putting another door from a car on their lot to see how it fits. I might need a new door, or a new hinge.

I got the same converter for my F-150...I soldered the wire tips to make them harder and then pounded them a little to make the tips flat and thin enough to insert. This makes pushing them into the ports much easier.
The invisicord brand is $26 and this cheapo Chinese brand is the same for...
