Over in the sync 3 swap thread people have discovered that this is caused because of the transmission type setting in the APIM. If that car had a manual and yours has an auto that can cause it as well. If it happens again you may need to use FORScan to update the as built data.
I had issues with the Sandisk Ultra so I got a Lexar 633x and have had it for a year now with no issues, it has worked every time I have pulled video.
I put the Sandisk in my Nintendo switch and it works great in there, I think it just has issues with the heat in the car or something.

My 2015 didn't have the wire so I made a harness and spliced in at each turn signal in the bumper.
