Yeah I’ve heard different things and agree with you. The car only has 40k and it is garaged. Not a daily. I’d say my factory paint was 9 out of 10. They replaced the driver fender and blended the driver door. Those match perfectly. Color wise it’s pretty close to rest of car but the door and...
My 17 GT was in a wreck a few months back. Car drives great but some of the paint work doesn’t match as well as I’d like. Has anyone had a OEM or better full paint job done? Can I see you car and what was the cost?
Well after 2 new rack installs ford decided to order a harness. Ford supposedly doesn’t make the harness anymore. Order got kicked back twice according to body shop. A dealer tech was able to repair the existing harness in one day. Car sat at Ford for the entire month of February over this...
Do you think it matters if the stock tune or VMP tune is on the car as far as being able to program new rack or get it to communicate? I reflashed it to stock and I am concerned with the dealer needing to start or move it on the stock tune. VMP and Lund heavily advised against that.
I was told they thought the first new replacement rack had a defective module in it. So that’s why they replaced it. I am a little concerned about it being at the dealer lol because the body work was done well but Ford has already managed to scrap the bottom of the back bumper. Looks like the...
Sadly my 17 GT was in a wreck November 2024. Shop did a good job with body work but I still don’t have the car. EPS rack was damaged. They replaced and new rack wouldnt communicate. They took it to a ford dealer who replaced rack again. Same problem.
Car is boosted. I thought maybe the tune...
bought my 17 GT new. Boosted it at 15,000 miles. Car now has almost 41,000 miles. MT82 hasn’t complained. Im in the process of breaking in my new mantic clutch now. Stock clutch gave no issues. It actually looked great. Stock axles also doing fine.
The car doesn’t live on the track but it has...
The clutch needed to be aligned better. Even though I assembled it with the alignment tool in place the disk still sagged a bit. The disk were aligned with each other but they were a bit off from the Pilot bearing. Plastic alignment tool would still go all the way in but there was more...
Trans went back in last night. Car is driving fine although it’s a bit more difficult to get into first and reverse. I’m hoping the pedal just needs to be pressed another 300 times to get all the air out. This twin disk is different for sure! Hopefully I get used to it.
I think I’ve figured out my
Issue. I leave the alignment tool in place while reassembling and torquing the pressure plate but it still allows the disk to sag a bit. So while the disk are aligned with each other they appear to not be centered in the pressure plate.
I’m thinking I’ll source a...
