For sync 3 it's just plug and play but for MFT you need take the screen apart from the Sync module and plug the screen to the Android module

Whats the price point for Sync3 and how much shipped to the USA - also

you say plug and play - I have to remove my entire head unit access the apim and plug insomethign to the apim and then something to this is that correct?

I used some common sense and searched for this, and I'm glad I did.. I came across the site "http://carperformance.se/" as well, and couldn't quite work out why the price point was so high.

Given that sync3 is already in the car, I can't help but think there must be a software of running something much like the mirrorlink etc of the days gone by.

I just can't seem to justify $600 price point for something like that....

anyone buy one of these?

The likelihood is fairly low. The issue with devices like this one is that the electronics were never designed for car usage (extreme temperatures, high humidity during rain, vibration while the car is in motion etc.) so they tend to fail too quickly (solder points start to fail etc.) to make them worthwhile investments. I'm not saying that this particular device was not designed with all those car issues in mind, but I'd want to see the proof if it was.

VAN-SYNC2-2017 is the model number of the part for Android auto on MFT. Do you mean "not in reverse and moving 'till certain speed?" I haven't owned a car with "Drive" in a LONG long time.

seems like the price has comedown. its showing 375 on the link but doesnt say anything about mustang. Has anyone actually tried one of theese? seems simple for the 2015 sync 2 system
