Lol, I am not "jelly". Although If I am I prefer grape.

It just doesn't have anything to pull off the quad exhaust. I really don't know how to explain it. For example, the WRX is a very sporty designed Sedan that pulls off the quad exhaust very well. This fusion.. well it just doesn't IMO.

And how you see similarities of this and the GT350 bumper I have no idea lol:shrug:.
The way the bumper flows down and around the flaring for the fog lights...

Very similar in design language to the "fangs" on the GT350

Hmm, the only thing interesting in that picture was the quad exhaust and the "Sport" badge. That could be interesting... not that I will sell my 'Stang for it, but I always thought an ST version of the Fusion was needed. That front end, though... :tsk:
Good lord man I'm not saying to sell your Mustang...I'm saying the Fusion could be pointing towards design language for the refresh, like the lights, grill, fogs, etc.

Eh...

I see what you're saying..and maybe some elements on the lights and fogs will come forward...but I think they're going to want to keep the grille just a *bit* different.

Why are you asking about 2017s? Why not wait for the 2018s? Think forward!

I'm a big fan of a Fusion ST (looks like it'll be Sport, like the Explorer is). I bet we'll see one of the EB V6s in it w/ AWD. The 2.3L wouldn't be enough of a bump. What a great DD that would be, huh?

Back on topic...whatever '17MY brings of significance for the S550 will be shown in a few days.

The Fusion is a Sport Model and has AWD.

There's a bunch of people on here afraid to buy the car they want cuz they think there will be an update in 2017, then once they see in July there's no update they will say "well I better wait until 2018", then there will be a rumor that the 2020 Gt will have 900hp and they will be waiting for that. It's funny.

Whilst that may be true, surely it's worth asking the question. I wonder how many people would have waited and bought and '11MY with the new Coyote V8, rather than snapping up a '10MY with the old 4.6 if they'd known it was coming just a year later. Enthusiast sites like this a great for that sort of information.

Right now, consensus seems to be that a facelift/engine/trans changes won't happen until the '18MY, but if I was in the market right now, I'd want to know if there were any nuggets coming for the '17MY, too

I felt compelled to throw in my 2cents on this thread enough to join the forum...
2017 Mustang speculation matters to me because of the following:
I am in market for V8 MT performance vehicle for under 50K new. I almost had myself convinced to go with Chevy SS sedan, but I am now leaning toward newer tech architecture and accept that I have to give up a roomy back seat as a compromise (giving up on speculation there will EVER be another V8 MT sedan offered below $50K again).

Here is my scenario (I have test driven both competitors):

Mustang GT Premium with PP MSRP configured the way I'd want it: $44,415
Camaro 2SS 6MT MSRP configured the way I'd want it: $46,660
MSRP difference: $2245

Camaro positive differentiators: dual mode exhaust, Mag ride, HUD, broader power curve, rev match novelty, feels more buttoned down in suspension and steering responsiveness, heated steering wheel

Mustang positive differentiators: price, interior comfort, visibility, adaptive cruise, superior brakes (6 piston brembos stand alone 3175 option on Camaro over and above MSRP above).

Car will be year-rounder with plan to buy winter wheels/tires (still need to research TPMS "reset" requirements which can be an annoyance if dealer intervention required to prevent TPMS malfunction light every time wheel/tire swap happens). Wife's car has heated wheel - decided this is now a "must have" for year round driver; but Camaro claustrophobic ergonomics suck enough that I'm going to wait and see what (if anything) happens to 2017 Mustang to answer the Camaro. Heated wheel *might* be enough to get me. MRC hand-down from GT350 along with that wheel, and I'm about there for sure. A bump in hp might be nice, but not necessary. 5-spoke non black wheel PP option might be nice, but not necessary. HUD and dual mode exhaust might be nice, but not necessary. All those "nice but not necessary's" definitely would not be necessary if the heated wheel and MRC additions would still keep MSRP $1500 or more less than Camaro....

So, I know Ford has heated wheels in other cars...a relatively simple premium package addition for 2017 *might* get my sale. MRC is already option on GT350...a relatively simple "requires both premium and GT performance package" add on option for 2017 along with heated wheel *really might* get my sale. If Ford does nothing, I'm leaning toward hope/idea I'd get acclimatized to the close quarters inside the Camaro.

Would be nice if they actually make the Reacaros heated and cooled. I dont see why they cant and why they havent been since day one.

Gloves work pretty well for a chilly steering wheel. The leather on the GT wheel is very nice and isn't even that cold (and I have very temp sensitive hands).

I don't know about PP & Auto. I am afraid if they do that, there will be a defection.
How could this be anything but a winner? People are going to not buy the 6MT because now Ford offers an AT PP? I don't think Chevy, Dodge, BMW, M-B, Porsche, Ferrari or anybody else thinks that way.

I think most of us knew less than halfway through the 10 MY that there was a big change coming in 11. I drove a 10 in December 09, that was really my "preview" test of the 11 I knew I'd wait for. Didn't buy it, because I thought the 10 didn't drive very well. The 15 is SO much better, LOL.

...but that's so "early 2000s"... says a guy who still only posts to discussion boards from his home PC...

Granted, since I will be getting an MT, I won't be remote starting on those 2 degree days that require a minute for the steering wheel to heat up after starting. So, regardless, I will already be wearing gloves on my way to the car and if I choose to drive it less than a minute after starting. Once you've experienced a heated wheel, though, it's hard not to want one.

Oh I have experienced it. It's nice, certainly, but to me, it's way, way out there on the nice to have list, and would never be a factor in deciding between one car or another, unless they were completely equal otherwise, which is never the case.
